Just returned after a 4 night stay in a Knightley lodge.
DON'T take any notice of the bad reviews. We had a few issues with the lodge which we reported but by no means meant they affected our mini break (a few lights out etc etc).
The staff are really jolly & not once did they not have a smile on their faces!!
We took our little dog who I think enjoyed it as much as we did!!
Yes other reviews state no vanity mirror for hair/make up......but there's plug points all over!! Grab a chair from the kitchen & sit in front of mirrors in bathroom/hallway!?!
The bed was a little hard - but no bed compares to your own right!?!?
Lovely clean park, great walks around it, with hot tubs that make it that extra bit special!!
I would definitely return/recommend.
A great place to holiday!!

We stayed in the Wentworth Lodge and arrived a little early at 3 pm instead of 4 pm which clearly annoyed the receptionist. We were allowed to complete the paperwork for checking in but were not allowed the keys until bang on 4pm! We didn't feel welcome and were sent off with nothing but a sheet of paper with the lodge highlighted in blue. A gentleman did call round to see if we were ok with everything. We didn't have any coat hangers and he did fetch them for us and he also brought us a leaflet for local walks which we should have been given when we checked in. he was really helpful and polite. While waiting for our key we had a coffee in the cafe. The assistant asked us to take a table and she would bring our drinks over. She got confused and brought over the wrong order and was rude to another lady when after 15 mins she asked where her order was.. She told her she was doing it next because she was on her own. The Lodge itself was well laid out but lacked a vanity mirror with access to a plug point for use of straightners or use of your own hairdryer. I had to dry my hair in the kitchen area using th microwave as a mirror. This has been a point regularly raised in the visitors book since 2010. The pillows are badly in need of replacing again raised in the visitors book over the past 18 months without action. The final thing for me was that guests are required to strip their beds before leaving and placing bedding in the bath!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never stayed anywhere where this is a requirement. Failure to do so risks an extra charge to your card, details of your card are held at the point of check in. Placing towels and taking away rubbish is acceptable but stripping beds is a step too far for me. Sorry not had to do this at any other lodge and enough for me not to re visit this one.

My husband and I stayed in a Chatterley Lodge, no 45, for 4 nights during April 2012. The lodge was very modern and clean, with a superb bedroom and bathroom with jacuzzi bath and 4 poster bed. (If I had to complain about anything, it would be the mattress, it dipped on one side meaning that you felt as though you would roll out of bed and also was not comfortable at all.) The kitchen was very modern and well equiped (minus a pizza cutter). We felt that the lounge area let the lodge down a little, it did not feel at all cosy in the evenings, could do with some soft lighting such as a lamp or two and maybe a nice rug on the laminate floor??? The lodge was quite cold at times during our stay, and we had previously read that you should not touch the controls for the heating or you would be charged, so we did not bother to complain about this as we didn't want to be charged extra,- this would be a worry if we were to return in Winter. The TV is only very small in the bedroom and therefore no good for watching movies. The seperate toilet we thought was in the wrong location within the lodge (the layout of the lodge could be better) These were only very minor complaints and did not spoil out break in any way. No 45 is right next to the cafe but is very private and not overlooked. The hot tub is great but we were a bit unlucky with the weather (rain) and so only got to use it twice, which was disapointing but could not be helped. Hindelini's cafe is very good, amazing cakes and hot chocolate. The park itself is very well maintained, tidy and very peaceful/quiet. We ate in The White Bull which is the local pub, our meal there was excellent, and also at La Laconda Italian restaurant, also very good. Both are a short walk from Ribblesdale park. Overall we would definatley reccommend Ribblesdale Park and also the Chatterley Lodge. Very relaxing break, would like to return here.

Room Tip: We stayed in a Chatterley Lodge no 45, very nice lodge and not over-looked.

We have just returned from our break at Ribblesdale Park, we stayed at the Moorland Lodge Number 70 with a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside and horses in the field opposite.

The lodges are very easy to find once you reach Gisburn, and when we arrived the check in service was fantastic and the lady who checked us in provided all the details we needed for the first part of our stay.

Walking in to the lodge I was bowled over with how modern the lodge was, the kitchen is fully equipped except for a few items such as a peeler but the knives work just as well.

The twin and double rooms were a good size with the master bedroom was a fantastic size with a fabulous en-suite bathroom including a rain drop shower which was great.

The hot-tub is a great size and easily fitted four full size adults in there.

We had read previous reports on here and saw that people mentioned about the rules whilst staying in the lodge, In my point of view I have to say the level of rules was fine, just as it would be if you where staying in a hotel. Obviously there have been people in the past who have abused common sense in order to make the management feel the need to provide all the details in a handy welcome pack. I mean who would be stupid enough to wash their dog in a hot tub that sits at 40 degrees??

In would like to thank the management for the great stay that we enjoyed and the service we received was second to none. The only issue i would mention would be the lack of socket points in the main bedroom but this did not impact on the stay what so ever

Would definitively look at booking again.

Thanks

David and Karen

Room Tip: We loved the Moorland lodge but was the only one we saw. No road noise whatsoever and a lovely view...

My husband and I stayed in a Chatterley Lodge (along with our dog) over the Easter Break for our wedding anniversary. The lodge was fabulous, more than we had both expected - couldn't fault it!

Especially a nice touch that Jayne called over not long after we had received the keys to make sure everything was ok, pointed out how we could contact people if we needed anything. The hot tub was ready to use for when we arrived at the lodge which was a bonus. The lodge was not over looked in any way and had everything there that we needed.

The breakfast & scones at the cafe are a must - lovely!

There is not a lot in the surrounding area to do other than walks - sadly, we didn't have the weather for this - which can't be helped. So we had a week of relaxation in the lodge - perfect break away.

We found all the staff to be very welcoming and we will most certainly be back to visit in the future.
