“Great place for our family holiday!!!”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

Just arrived back from four nights (Mon-Fri) in a Darcy Lodge. What a lovely place to stay, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the extra fun of a hot tub. All the staff that we met were so friendly and the lodge was home from home and very clean. We enjoyed the pizza's from Hindelini's on the first night which was a lovely treat after such a long drive and we also had breakfast on the last day and couldn't fault the food, it was lovely. Will definitely be recommending to all our friends and family and we are looking forward to visiting again.

My husband (our little dogs) and I have just returned from 4 days in a Bronte Lodge. We have stayed in quite a few lodges (via Hoseasons) and this is definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in. The lodge was extremely clean and the hot tub/garden was private. We went for many lovely walks in Gisburn Forest - there were clearly marked circular walks varying from 3km to 5.5km. We had a gorgeous lunch in a pub The Coach and Horses (dogs welcome), which is about 3 miles from the lodges. We did have breakfast one morning in Hindelinis (which also allows dogs) - it was very tasty. We would definitely recommend and go back to Ribblesdale Park.

Room Tip: We stayed in a Bronte Lodge - which was very spacious and had a private hot tub

We stayed in the Wentworth lodge number 50 from mon 21st oct to fri 25th oct. This is the 3rd time we have been & have usually stayed in the Darcy lodges. This lodge is by far the best one we have stayed in.

The loving area was cosy, spotless & well equipped! Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cloth & scourer were all provided we took our own bin liners & foil which we did need! The only down side was the kettle it was one you put on the hob rather than an electric one.

The bedroom was out of this world heated floor, jacuzzi bath & amazing double shower. The only negative is that it would have been nice to be able to switch the lights off outside where the hot tub is as it was quite bright in the bedroom even with the curtains shut!

The bedroom & living area both had TVs with DVD players and freesat which was a god send as the weather was terrible!!

The hot tub was fantastic such a luxury! It would be nice to have some sort of covering over it so that you can enjoy it in the rain!

We ate at hindelinis twice, the first night which was great as didn't fancy cooking we both had burgers which were delicious! We then has afternoon tea another day and I have got to say it is definately the best I have ever had! The staff were excellent great service & great food. It's such a shame it isn't open every evening as we would have eaten here every night!

You can rent DVDs from the cafe for £2 which we intended to do due to the bad weather but actually didn't need to!

We had a problem with the tv one day but within minutes of ringing reception someone came down & sorted it.

We visited a couple of pubs in chatburn & skipton but didn't fancy the one in the village that was the only downside really that you had to drive to find a decent pub which meant only one of us could drink.

It really was a lovely break the lodges are pure luxury in beautiful surroundings. We had some lovely walks even in the rain & it was great to come back to a warm cozy lodge & hot tub!

Our only negative is the late check in which is 4pm and early check out which is 10am so for our 5 day break we only actually had 3 days. The early checkout wasn't such a problem but the late check in really could do with being brought forward so you don't lose a day!

Stayed here between 14th October and 18th October. We stayed in the wentworth and it was perfect for 2 people! Did not find any faults with our lodge or hot tub. It was very clean and I would highly recommend booking here! Don't listen or let the bad reviews put you off. All staff very friendly and we will definitely be returning!

We recently stayed in the Deer Park Cottage which is 10 yards from Hindelinis (more about this later). The cottage was great with a large eating/sitting area and a nice kitchen. The garden was completely enclosed so we could let our dog (and children) out without fear of escape. Upstairs the bedrooms and bathroom are fairly basic but immaculately clean with all you need.

The highlights of the trip were the hot tub in the back garden, the friendliness of all of the staff but the Pièce de résistance was the Hindelinis High Tea. We ordered two of these between 4 adults and 2 children and this was more than enough for all of us. We have had a few of these in our time and this was better than I have had in any 5 star hotel - absolutely brilliant (as was everything else we ate or saw served in Hindelinis).

They said when we complemented them that they had not been doing this for long. My advice would be to start calling it Hindelinis Famous High Tea and giving it higher prominence on the menus.

Room Tip: Need I say more - have the high tea! The takeaway pizza on Monday was very good too.

I have just returned from a superb break here with two friends. We enjoyed the luxury of the lodge, the hospitality of Hindilinis, the peace and tranquility of the park. We read, ate, drank, hot-tubbed, walked and chilled. I loved it so much that I vowed to return with my husband and family as it would be an excellent base to visit fabulous places of interest such as Skipton, Malham and the Settle - Carlisle railway whilst not infringing the rules regarding taking children out of school (easily doable after school on a Friday for a long weekend). There is only one problem though (and I am pretty gutted about this!) We are a family of 8 plus dog and so sadly there are no lodges big enough for us, guess I'll just have to hang fire on that return visit until a couple of my children have left home :(
