We stayed in a Darcey lodge at the beginning of June with our young daughter. The lodge was very spacious and had all facilities for self catering. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a bit dated and the bathrooms in need of a bit of TLC, the bed in the main bedroom was very hard and uncomfortable, the main living area was fine. The cleanliness of the lodge overall was ok but we did notice quite a lot of what looked to be dog hair behind the settee cushions. The hot tub / decking area was lovely. The site is very peaceful and well maintained. The food in the cafe was delicious and the staff very friendly, the only downside is most nights it shuts at 5. We were a bit disapointed with the lack of things to do on the site and the childrens play area was a let down, not suitable for younger children. There is not much to do in the local village but there is a really good play area in the village. I would return to ribblesdale but not as a family holiday.

thank you very much for your mixed review. i am sorry that the sleep quality and cleanliness wasn't up to scratch for you. we recently upgraded all the mattresses on the park with a local manufacturer as we found the previous suppliers product didn't stand the test of time. this new batch have been well received so i am bothered that it wasn't good enough for u! i will look into it. regards the cleanliness - there is never an excuse for it. we aim to have it like our own homes...spotless. so i have already spoken with the house keeping manager and all the cleaners will be made aware. we try so hard to get it right but i guess sometimes things slip through the net. v disappointing. regards kids - i grew up here all my life so beg to differ there isn't things to do as a kid. there is 500 acres of woodland, rivers, 1000 acres of fields, wildlife, ponds, farms, everything u could expect from a country holiday. please come and stay again and join our Facebook group for special offers...many thanks
guy

We have just returned from a 4 night break staying in a wentworth lodge number 53. We found that the accomodation was looking tired. Especially the kitchen and living area. The crockery and cutlery had seen better days. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen area which is a joke when there is only 2 cups and 4 plates. Not cost effective to use a dishwasher. The hot tub was lovely but the outside area only small. The park area was well kept and we did have a look around the area. We used the coffee shop but were surprised that it closed at 5pm not good if you wanted a meal on the night. Lovely area and nice relaxing break but did not find that the lodge we were staying in was value for money.

Room Tip: Lodge was very quiet but needed updating.

I first visited Ribblesdale Park for a 7 night stay in August 2012. Very relaxing and peaceful just what was needed to recharge the batteries. Wonderful grounds, lovely lodge's and to top it off a nice hot tub to relax in.

My next visit was a 4 night stay in July 2013 to incorporate a visit to Leeds to see Bruce Springsteen. Again it was a lovely relaxing time and the hot tub was a blessing for my poor feet after standing at the show for hours :).

3rd trip was in December 2013 - again, total relaxation. Visited the lovely restaurant on site 'Hindelinis' for a special Champagne Afternoon Tea - would highly recommend this. All food being served looked lovely too and I know I've seen very good reviews on this.

I'm now eagerly awaiting my 4th visit and arrive 13 June for a long weekend break - can't wait to recharge my batteries once again with bbq on the lovely big balcony around the lodge and relax in the hot tub.

The site is dog friendly too which makes it even more appealing for me with lots of nice walks in the grounds to enjoy.

Don't hesitate in booking a lodge here - the staff are wonderful and will be happy to help with any questions you may have.

Just go and enjoy it.

My wife and I had been considering one of these breaks for a number of years. We finally made the decision to visit Ribblesdale Park at the end of May. We chose a Chatterley Lodge and we were allocated lodge number 41 which we were pleased to see had quite a large garden area and was quite secluded. The lodge was clean and was well equipped, containing all the necessary kitchen appliances including an electric toaster. Also included within the lodge are an iron & ironing board as well as cleaning products such as dishwasher tablets & washing up liquid. They even provide small bars of soap within the bathroom should you feel it is not necessary to bring your own (we did)! Contrary to other reports neither of us had any problems with mobile phone signals should you wish to remain in contact with the outside world.

The lodge was quite comfortable to sit in and relax, however we chose to relax within the hot tub as much as possible even if it was sunny, raining or windy and it was all of these during our 4 night stay.

Whilst we were there we had lunch at The Buck Inn in Paythorne, an evening meal in La Locanda in the village. We also had breakfast twice in the on-site café Hindelinis as well as an evening meal on the Monday when they stay open until late. Unfortunately they only stay open late on the check in days Monday & Friday.

The local village Gisburn is a bit disappointing as there is not much to do, as mentioned in previous reports the pub has closed down. However we went for a walk around the neighbouring village of Bolton by Bowland one morning and also we visited Skipton and walked around the castle. We also visited the Ingleton waterfalls which took about 3 hours to walk around and cost £12.00 for the two of us.

We would like to return one day, however next time we may try another holiday park just so we have something to compare with this break and not for any negative reasons as we would certainly recommend Ribblesdale Park to other visitors.

thank you so much for your extremely kind words. i am very proud of what i have built at ribblesdale and given the gorgeous countryside around it can only get better. i am also blessed with the team that works there...they will do anything to make sure u are loved when staying there and i think u can see that from the reviews on trip advisor. if anyone is reading this and wondering what to do i have a section on the ribblesdalepaprk.com website which is pretty detailed about places to eat and things to do. we have lived here for over 100 years so trust me i know. please let us know how ur stay is somewhere else and i am confident u will return to ribblesdale!

My wife and I stayed in the Chatterley Lodge No 40 to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary, On our arrival the staff were very friendly and made sure we had a map of the site and directions to our lodge. The lodge has parking directly outside it. The lodge was very clean and tidy with a fabulous kitchen with loads of utensils, cutlery and pots and pans. The bedroom was massive with a lovely relaxing spa bath in the far corner and a massive shower and two sinks. There is a separate dressing area with a large wardrobe, drawers and dressing table with a mirror just outside the bedroom area and the lounge area has a massive couch lovely for chilling on.
The whole site is peaceful and beautifully maintained by the staff. The garden area is very private and the hot tub is also very private and fantastic for relaxing in.
We ate at the café twice once for breakfast which was large and very tasty and we also went and had afternoon tea which was wonderful and although not cheap a real pleasure, the café served great food and is well worth a visit I wish it had been open at night.
The lodge was clean and spacious and with the peaceful setting it was an amazing break and we will be booking again soon, the only thing to disturb our peace was the birds singing.

Room Tip: If you have a problem just report it to reception, we report one gas ring not working and the guy was there 5 minutes later and fixed it within 10 minutes.
