Had the most amazing stay. From walking in the the Hotel, we were made to feel so welcome, the new bar area is so lovely and comfy, the Room (Room 10) was fantastic and having French doors out to garden and the food was exceptional and the staff were so lovely, professional and friendly, thank you all for making it so special and we will most definitely return and cant wait to see the new rooms
Such a lovely touch with the temple spa products and on the back of which I have now spent a fortune on temple spa

Louisa,

Wow what a review, thank you for such kind words. Its great to see that you were well look after by the team and that you really enjoyed the laid back yet professional atmosphere of the hotel.

The Temple Spa products are simply divine! We love them...they are the best way to relax in our beautiful bathrooms... you will have to come back very soon as we have just received your new Candles and Body Scrubs which you will also fall in love with!

Kind Regards

Craig

Just returned after a lovely Sunday lunch. We were treated superbly by all the staff and our meals were excellent. There is a lot of building work being done but it did not have any reflection on our meal. Special thanks go to one of your new waiters named Fransisco, he has such a nice way with guests, many thanks to you all and look forward to visiting again but as we travelled from north wales for lunch it is a long way but worth it.

We have visited Northcotes on more than 20 occasions and it never fails to impress.
We were shocked when we walked in on this occadion however, as the new modern decor isn't befitting of the classy, traditional image that Northcote is famous for. Perhaps this will look better when the whole rennovation is complete.
The food however was still fabulous and the service is impeccable.
We didn't stay over on this occasion, however the bedrooms are beautifully appointed with an excellent combination of traditional comfort with ultra modern amenities.
Northcotes is a fabulous treat for special occasions.

Visited Northcote to celebrate my wife's birthday for lunch - as with our previous visits the food, service and staff were first rate. It was our first visit since the start of the refurbishment and what has been completed so far is excellent. Lounge and Bar decor works well. We will be back.

Had a drive across the border into Lancashire today to so what a Michelin starred restaurant is like over there. Not disappointed.

Nice, reasonably priced Prosecco aperitif served with a goats cheese mousse & bread sticks. Not 100% sure about the bar decor & furnishings - some minging fuschia pink chairs just aren't in keeping with the building. Plus a lot of the chairs aren't comfy enough to relax in after you've eaten while enjoying a coffee & cognac.

Really liked the set menu - it's great that you can mix & match courses from the a la carte (by paying the difference in cost). Price wise it was excellent value - £5 for the starter, £15 for mains & £5 for dessert - it's pub prices for Michelin quality food!

Considering on Saturday we ate in a very average pub where meat pie & mash was £12 - here it's only £3 more for the setting, service, quality & attention to detail - that's great value.

All the food was excellent. Highlights were the frozen chicken liver parfait (looked like chocolate ice cream but tasted ace) and Jerusalem artichoke soup. Mains of partridge Wellington, braised ox cheek & crispy skate wing were all excellent. As were the all the desserts - couldn't fault any of them.

Criticisms? Too long a wait for our desserts. Sent a coffee back because it was luke warm. The fuschia soft furnishings. Minor.

Many thanks for taking the time to review your visit to Northcote last month.

Our seasonal lunch menu is simply one of the best ways to experience the delights of our Kitchen at Lunch. With an ever changing menu that changes with the seasons its the perfect way to enjoy lunch!

My apologies about your slight wait on your dessert course and I will pass these comments onto Nigel, Lisa and the team so we can ensure you are not kept waiting!

Once again thank you for taking the time to pass your thoughts on your experience, and we look forward to welcoming you back!

Kind Regards

This was our first experience of a Michelin starred restaurant, we stayed in a deluxe room and experienced the Prosecco afternoon tea and Tasting Menu with Wine Matching, basically we went for the full shooting match and were disappointed by any aspect. From the moment we arrived the first thing we picked up on was that the staff were all lovely with sign of pretentiousness, this made for a relaxed feel and the staff treated you with great care and attention from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room was fantastic and everything you could expect from such an establishment. The food and drink was simply superb and presented in a fantastic way that simply wowed at every opportunity. I mentioned in passing to the lady who showed us to our room it had been my partners birthday the day before, an hour later when we had our afternoon tea, the scones where presented on a board with Happy Birthday written in chocolate - that just summarised the way staff listened and repsonded to anything their guests say. The flavours of the food and wine where superb, we even visited the drinks supplier this afternoon and purchased several of the wines and bourbons. Fantastic experience and one to remember for a long time!!!
