This is a lovely old house in the safe and capable hands of Mike, who couldn't be more helpful.

There is a lovely feel about the place and the decor is in keeping with the age of the house.

I've been staying here on a weekly basis since the beginning of November and am returning in the new year.

Location is excellent for exploring Ashby de la Zouch - the main street is literally two minutes away.

We were visiting relatives in Ashby and looked for a small guesthouse/B&B in the location. We were really pleased with The Clockmakers, the friendliness of our hosts, the room and the location. The house is warm and friendly and the breakfast was lovely. We met two repeat guests which shows you they must be doing everything right. The Castle is within two minutes walk and the town centre on your doorstep. We enjoyed listening to the story about the Clockmakers and were also assisted by locating my uncles address who we had come to visit.

This is a lovely Bed & Breakfast. The accommodation and attention to detail in the rooms is fabulous. Lots of fluffy towels, a tea tray with a good selection of teas, coffees and chocolate biscuits. I even had two hair dryers in my twin room.

Even though my room was up at the top of the house the room was still spacious and the bathroom was large with a fullsize bath and a selection of bubble baths to choose from.

The dining room is beautiful and airy. I chose to have my breakfast at the same time as the other guests so we all ate at the large dining table together.

I really can't find a fault with this lovely little b&b and will certainly be staying there again. They say they want you to treat it as your home and that's exactly how it feels like you're part of the family.

Room Tip: You will have to climb the stairs - don't think there was a groundfloor room. Higher room at a l...

Gosh, what a house. Chose it because it looked interesting and it certainly was. We were the only ones staying and arrived to a silent house as the owners were out, just heard the ticking of the grandfather clock. (It felt a bit like Denis Sever's House for those who know!) Had a room in attic. What appeared to be a lovely Georgian house must have originally been a medieval gabled property. Oozed atmosphere. Very clean, lovely breakfast.

We travelled through England, in April and May, 2013 and stayed with Mike and Sally for two nights, on our way back to Heathrow.

Absolutely first-class in all aspects. Mike and Sally are welcoming, easy-going and so very helpful.

The house is immaculate in all areas. Tastefully decorated and comfortable beyond the point of making one feel at home.

Guests have unrestricted access to the breakfast/dining/lounge room, throughout their stay. Mike and Sally even provide a library of books, CDs and DVDs for use of guests.

The bedrooms are delightful. The beds are especially comfortable and Mike's breakfasts really are the perfect way to start any day.

We'd had a less than ideal B&B experience prior to The Clockmaker's House, so it was a real treat for us to find this one

Perfect in every way, with wonderful hosts, who make you feel at home.

Thank you Mike and Sally. You go the extra mile and then some :o)
