“Not an attraction, it should be a minimal cost entry”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

We went for a family here for a day out, 2 girls age 3 & 9 months . The discovery centre was poor, at least 50% of the intractive displays where not working, I notice in previous reviews this has been hilited as an issue, but obviously not yet addressed. Over all the discovery centre seemed to cater for a very limited age group and did not seem inviting, and quite random. We where given a map which showed features of the park ie a maze , which we searched for for about half an hour only to find later it did not exist, not much fun with a pushchair and a fed up 3 year old. The train was good and the assault course also good for teenagers etc. but to be honest we will stick to Kingsbury water park in future, it's free the park is better. Sorry we won't visit again and certainly will not recommend it to anyone either.

Thank you for your review. I was sorry to hear that you was not happy with your visit at Conkers. We are unlike other parks like you have mentioned as we are a fenced attraction that does not allow dogs on and off leads, push bikes, roller skates, footballs etc...meaning it is a nice safe environment for both our visitors and our wildlife.

We do strive continuously to work on our indoor exhibits, and are always looking for ways to enhance or improve the experience. I am sure that you would agree that the indoor area in only a very small part of a 120 acre site with lots of facilities for people of all ages. We do appreciate your comments and will review them with the team.

“Great way to spend half term!”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

Decided to take the kids to Conkers for A DAY OUT during half term and, despite the weather being a bit dank, we had a lovely time. There is plenty to do for kids and adults along with the usual shopping and eating establishments. We had to cut our visit short but will definitely be going back!

“Great Day Out”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

Just been over to Conkers and had a truly great day out with the kids. There was plenty to do for the kids and us parents weren't bored at all. We enjoyed a good meal and had plenty of time to relax while the kids were off doing their own things!

Can recommend it for a good family day out.

“Average day out, nothing to shout home about.....”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

Visited here for the 1st time today, left slightly disappointed. Firstly we had a groupon voucher, presented this at the desk only to be told it had to be printed off - doesn't state this on their terms and conditions, even though had the code and proof of purchase on my phone they wouldn't accept this so a groupon voucher wasted & £24 down for me.
Putting that aside it was okay....the best part of the day was the soft play area & the large park they have, lots of things on here for all ages - although wouldn't of travelled as far if we just wanted to play on the park! Also have a nice little train ride to take you from one side of the park to the other but apart from that not a lot of outdoor things to do, odd thing scattered here and there but nothing special. Discovery centre can be enjoyable, my son (4 years) was slightly too young and wasn't really interested so I would recommend taking older children but was very disappointed to notice a few things not working, lights didn't light up when they was supposed to, sounds didn't make a sound when the buttons were pressed etc which is not fair on the children who will be using it. Tree top adventure/enchanted forest is quite good and exciting but very dark down the tunnel/slides so again not suitable for younger children. Overall an average day out, son said he enjoyed his self but I was a little bit disappointed and wont be recommending or visiting again - not even with my unused groupon!

I was pleased to hear that your son enjoyed his trip to Conkers but was also disappointed to hear about your experience with GROUPON. They have clearly stated to us through email correspondence that all visitors must produce a printed voucher in order for us to allow admission. I have checked the terms and conditions under groupon fine print and it clearly states it must be printed.

At conkers if people turn up without their vouchers, firstly we get people to try and email us their voucher and we gladly print them off free of charge unlike other attractions and will even let you use our phone free of charge to call groupon to ask them to email us the voucher. We are under no obligation to do this but always try our best for customer service and satisfaction. The contract you have is with groupon and not Conkers. If you buy a ticket online through the conkers website when it emails you - it emails us at the same time so we have proof of purchase and you are able to show us your order code on any smart phone.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

Visited on a rainy day which didnt bother us, we were looking forward to visiting as live locally, however in the discovery centre there were so many attractions that were either broken or had things missing. Constantly having to explain to our 4 year old 'oh no we cant do that' became quite frustrating. Myself and my husband simply looked at each other in disbelief at the amount of things not in full working order. think the management need to walk round to get an idea of this for themselves! Very disappointed, wont be returning or recommending.

I was sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding our indoor interactive exhibit area. I can assure you that the management team do check the exhibits on a regular basis and we will ensure our maintenance team carry out additional checks to make sure nothing has tripped out throughout the day.

The indoor exhibits is a very small part of our 120 acre site which includes the train, the barefoot walk, the labyrinth, the activity trail and our very large adventure playground and numerous walks and activities to explore, which are all included within your daily admission.

Thank you for taking the time to write on trip advisor.
