Sandy is the perfect host, very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. An excellent homely accommodation perfectly located for Melton Mowbray and many other visitor attractions. The rooms are tastefully furnished, everything is spotless and her standards are high. Sandy goes the extra mile to provide everything and gives attention to the smallest detail, e.g. leaving cookies on your well stocked beverage tray upon arrival. Wonderful night sleep on the most huge comfortable bed. BEST ever scrumptious breakfast with so much to choose from, caters for all tastes, including vegetarian options. Delicious freshly laid eggs Really had a wonderful and relaxed stay - no hesitation we will return again.

Couldn't fault this lovely place. Welcoming and friendly with great breakfast. Also thanks for the tea and cake on arrival and the delicious cream tea the next day! A great find for attending the Bird fair (don't tell anyone else)
Hope to see you next year!

Simply the best place I have stayed in for a very long time. I am used to business travel staying in Premier Inns, Holiday Inns, Hiltons, De-Vere's but Sandy has made this place so homely we didn't want to leave. Warm welcome, lovely room, comfortable bed, excellent service, perfect breakfast and hospitality. A welcomed, quality, difference to the chain hotels. Since staying at the Lodge no where else we have stayed since comes close. Sandy has set the bar very high, the hotel chains could learn a great deal on how to look after guests from her. If all hotels and B&B's operated in the same way Alex Polizzi would be delighted and unemployed.

Room Tip: All rooms are clean, beautiful and just a class above.

I stayed here the night before my wedding, with an entourage of folks arriving on the Saturday morning to get ready & it was one of the highlights of my whole day. The rooms are beautiful & the dining room stunning with the fireplace and lovely window. We took over the whole of the front room to get ready in and Sandy could not have been more helpful with a never ending supply of coffee and breakfast for everyone. I can not fault The Lodge and would recommend it to anyone, particularly if you are a local bride looking for someone peaceful and pretty to get ready in.

Room Tip: The room at the front has magnificent views over the countryside :-)

We have stayed at the Lodge on several occasions when returning to Melton for family or friends' events. The welcome is always very warm and friendly. The rooms are delightful with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious, whether you choose the full English or the continental version.
On my last visit I forgot to take essential medication. Sandy quickly booked me a visit to her GP practice and all was well.
Thoroughly recommend!
