“Brilliant!!”

We are members and love the place. We try and book a sofa to really enjoy ourselves but are quite happy with the standard seating. You can treat yourself to whatever you fancy and at reasonable prices. We treat ourselves to a glass of wine and a tub of nuts. The service is excellent and we thoroughly enjoy our cinema nights. We have introduced several of our friends who now also enjoy their evenings here.

“Not the largest cinema, but good fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

This cinema is in the heart of the small market town of Melton Mowbray. Some years ago the 1920/30 building was split into the usual Bingo Hall, Pub and a much reduced cinema (I guess the cinema now occupies what was the old Upper Circle seating area. That said, the current owners have sympathetically restored the cinema to reflect its earlier history and made it more of a "club" style venue serving wine, beer and coffees at the bar and encouraging you to take them into the seating are to enjoy with your film. seating is extremely comfortable and the option of sofas and extra large seats (at a slightly higher price) can really make this a great night out.
Not large, so think about booking before you go, but a great place to visit and we should encourage more of these independents instead of the soulless multiplex's on the outskirts of our cities.

“Amazing place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2014

Get dressed up and go to the theatre with the one you love!!! This is a beautifully restored art deco independent cinema with a family feel and great service. lovely large comfy seats with little trays for you glass of wine(!!! Great!!!) or you can have a free standing ice bucket for the bottle!!!

Alternatively it is great to go with the kids too. It is friendly and comfy with the usual sweets and popcorn but without the threat of people disrupting the film that you might get at a city cinema.

Go and have a great time - we did!!!

“Relaxing cinema experience”

A unique cinema experience. Really relaxed environment with a wide variety of films, more of a film club. Much preffered this to the larger alternatives...much better value for money with a welcoming personal touch.

“Best cinema experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014 via mobile

Watched long way down on a Friday evening

£16 for a sofa which was brilliant and comfy. Cinema itself is run by really nice professional people. Cinema is a mixture of old and new and I liked the fact you were shown to your seat/sofa by a member of staff

Unlike big chains the food and drinks are very reasonably priced. Popcorn was very nice.

Nice seating area before you go in.

The screen was really good and the whole cinema is spacious.

The family who run this are excellent, I would definatley go back.
