“Lovely park with fantastic facilities for campers”
Reviewed 4 August 2014 via mobile

From booking over the phone to eating in the pub, everybody was so very friendly and helpful.
We stayed 3 nights in a tents with electric. The park is beautifully kept and lovely walks for my westie. My husband went fishing and used the driving range. A visit to the garden centre just a few mins over the road with something for everybody. Would visit again.

Just got back from 5 nights at Woodthorpe. I booked the site so me and my 13 year old son could play some golf. I had played the 18 hole golf course quite a few years ago but was staying somewhere else.

1st of all the site - the touring site was very well set out with excellent facilities. The shower and toilet building was fantastic and always clean. Monday to Friday the site was quiet but after extending out holiday to include Friday night ... The site had changed. A lot busier and noisier but still fine.

The golf course is excellent, well kept and there always seems to be someone working on it. I honestly can not remember it being as good as it was and as well set out. The price is a good price but there's no junior discount of benefit price wise for being on the site. (I could have stopped somewhere else and paid the same price) but still not too expensive. The 10th hole is a fantastic hole as is the 11th if you sneak off of the white tees :-)

There is also possibly the best driving range I have ever visited.. A stunning wooden fronted building with 2 bays on the 2nd floor which my son loved!

We only visited Woodies bar once but it was clean and the food and drink was nice.

All in all we had a great time with4 rounds of golf and some great weather. I will definitely be visiting the park again and would recommend it to anyone!!

Just returned from a break at Woodthorpe Leisure Park. It's set in a lovely peaceful location. The play areas look new and have everything to keep the kids amused for hours, we couldn't get our daughter off them!! Excellent meals at Woody's Bar, and our caravan was spacious & fully equipped (just need to take towels/tea towels). Couldn't fault the stay at all. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.

This park is set out in a lovely rural setting, with a golf course and driving range, fishing lake and excellent childrens play area. But don't have a meal in Woodies bar, we visited last year and the food was very good, but they must have changed chef or this was one of those days when it all went wrong, lumpy gravy, hard peas, cold french beans. They need to step up to the high standards the rest of the park sets or people will find other establishments to frequent.

Used this site many times over the years while children growing up and the just returned from a 'trip down memory lane',
The site has been extended and updated since last there around 10 years ago, with various types of pitches available when I booked on-line.
The new amenity block is impressive and kept very clean. Nice touch with the Powder room (even had a hair washing sink with shower attachment, and my partner said he had never used such good 'chemical disposal'!!
The staff were very helpful and friendly on site and in the on-site pub, where we had a very nice meal.
Would recommend!

I visited with a friend, last Saturday, specifically to go to Woody's Bar & Restaurant at Woodthorpe Hall leisure park, having been recommended to go there. Oh my goodness, what a lovely little gem, hidden away. It was so clean, and comfortable, the 2 staff on duty were welcoming and charming, the service was prompt, and the food was delicious, especially the home-made chips.

The menu is varied, and comprehensive, and there were specials on a board in the bar.

The portions were more than generous, so much so we could not manage a dessert,

The final gem in the crown was the price, excellent value for money. We will definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.

My companion said it was the best meal she'd had in ages.

Well done Woody's !

Stayed here for two nights, including NYE with our caravan. it was our first "winter" outing with our caravan. The site itself is fab. Easy check in, lovely bloke showed us to our pitch and was very helpful. We wound the legs down and headed straight for the restaurant / bar for our dinner as we arrived at 1.30pm. Woody's bar on site is amazing, food was superb, even the kids meals and very reasonable prices. So impressed that after sorting water out etc for caravan, we headed back at 5 with our friends. Graham the bar manager never seemed to stop and was lovely and polite.
The next day, which was NYE, we ventured out to the garden centre which is just up the road, and to the aquatic centre. Garden centre was huge and we ate in the cafe, again lovely. The aquatics centre is on an old RAF base in a huge building. Kids loved feeding the carp & sturgeon. Back to the campsite and found that the shower facilities were lovely & clean, water lovely & hot. There was also a family room which had a shower, toilet & wash basins so we could all get ready together. Also there was a seperate powder room which I thought was a nice idea. Back to woodys for NYE, there was an entertainer on but, having young kids with us, we stayed in the games room after we'd enjoyed our meal.
We would most definitely return again, hopefully in the summer when the kids can take advantage of the outside play areas, and for the fishing lake & golf driving range.
Only 6 miles out of mablethorpe so can pop to the coast to take a look at the sea :)
