“Seaside themed house with everything we needed for a perfect Christmas”
Reviewed 3 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Sandra, the talented owner has renovated this property with a seaside theme, a cozy feel and a modern style in the bathrooms. We were staying for Xmas and she even provided a Christmas tree complete with hand crafted decorations.

We wanted a house to base ourselves and host a small family Christmas and invite others over to us as I've moved away from my home town. Sandra had kindly let us look round before we booked when we were in town a few months earlier and was very welcoming when we arrived.

There is a lovely log burner to give a cozy feel but the central heating was also perfectly ample heating if you are unsure about them. The kitchen / dining room combo was perfect to allow for socializing whilst preparing the Xmas meal and the kitchen is very well equipped.

The offshot utility room was also handy for keeping the dishes out of the way of the chef! There is a double fridge so we were able to store the inevitable excess of food we purchased for the few days.

We also enjoyed the games box in the front porch for some post lunch entertainment with a selection including Monopoly, Scrabble, Jenga, Chess, Ludo, Chequers, battleships and more which would be great for the kids if the weather is poor. There are two Freeview TVs too so if there is a difference in tastes they can be catered for aswell. There is also a bluetooth stereo if you want to use your own music collection and there are some books and CDs provided and a decent wifi signal.

The beds were comfy and warm. The shower was good and Mum enjoyed a deep relaxing bath. Also there were plenty of towels provided.

A couple of minor things to be aware for other travellers but they didn't impact our stay:

1.Well equipped kitchen but at the time we stayed there is no freezer (which Sandra had told us about but we had forgotten). Therefore we had to eat our ice cream quickly. Also there is no dishwasher. There is a microwave inside the combi oven in case you don't see one on the side.
2. Parking on the street is free but it does get busy so there were times we needed to drop off our elderly mother-in-law and park in a nearby street. This should be perfectly fine for young families.

This house helped make a perfect Christmas with a great balance of sociable spaces but also private bedrooms should you wish to take some time out. I'd happily come back for Christmas again in the future and I'm sure many people will have lovely summer holidays here. Thank you for letting us stay we had a very enjoyable time.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Fabulous house , made even better as we were the first to stay. Location is brilliant, just behind Sea View Street, with its variety of shops and places to eat. 10 mins walk into town one way and same to the leisure centre on the sea front , which has a wave machine, which my daughter loved. House had everything you could possibly need, decor was lovely and homely , with a seaside theme. There were toys and games, DVDs, books and music system. Bed was extremely comfy and room at front was ideal for my daughter who liked having her own room. Only wished we stayed longer now. Will definitely be staying again, Sandra the owner couldn't do enough to help.

Thank you for your review. It was lovely to meet you and I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Cleethorpes. I look forward to your return. The baby seals are now being born in nearby Donna Nook and are well worth a visit!
