On arrival at Cleethorpes we stumbled on this train and decided to have a ride. It is a miniature railway and is pulled by steam trains, of which there are two running. The whole track is only a couple of miles in length but there are 3 stops. At the Lakeside Station there is a nice tearoom and museum which gives some interesting background into the light railway phenomenon; this is apparently the last to survive. We did not get off at the Humberston station as there appeared to be little there and it seemed rather far from Pleasure Island. At £12 for a family of 4 it wasn't over expensive and it is presumably expensive to maintain. One of the highlights of our visit to Cleethorpes.
