Clean and tidy hotel in a good location. We paid £120 for the room which is definitely over priced. There was a Creaky floor , small bed and breakfast was only for 2 hrs and very early so we missed it. Also at 6am we heard most of the other guests or maybe all of the other guests alarms going off , kettles boiling and people having showers which kept us awake we ending up checking out early. Very disappointed with this hotel and would not stay again!

Stayed here on business (as our usual hotel was full) recently and have to say, overall - not a bad place but certainly not worth the £65/night price tag in February.

First things first - the parking is *horrendous*. The 'hotel' appears to have been cut out of a few large domestic houses in the middle of a very busy side street. Limited parking round the back and unless you happen to have a charmed life, very low prospects of free parking on the front of the hotel.

The room was warm and clean, not spacious and had limited places for storage. Being on business a good chair and somewhere to break out the laptop would have been nice but it's all too cramped.

The bathroom was again clean and warm but the same lack of storage meant you couldn't unpack. This just meant being untidy for a few days - more of a frustration than a real problem. The shower was pathetic - no other words capture its weakness quite as well. You had to run around under the dribbles to get wet.

Food was good, although I would recommend ordering before about 8:15pm as they stop serving food at 8:30 - odd for a hotel. Many places in Cleethorpes appear to have limited opening times as well, so be aware. Breakfast was enjoyable although not the biggest helpings.

The staff are friendly enough and do offer alternative advice on drinking/dining in and around Cleethorpes.

Overall, a reasonable last option, but a long way off a first choice.. Would have been more acceptable at £40 but not at £65.

We used this hotel for an overnight stay in Cleethorpes. On arrival the check-in was easy and hassle free with none of the silly "what brings you to the area" questions, which I find intrusive.
The hotel is lobby is spacious and clean, with a small bar and dining area. The prices are average (Fosters £3.45, Stella £3.95) and for the meals (2x Sirloin Steak meals for £18.99).
We opted for 2 medium cooked steaks (pink, no blood) and they were returned 3 times until the finally arrived without blood, but now over cooked).

The bedroom was very basic, we shared a twin room which could only just fit the beds (room 26), the bathroom fan rattles and the shower cubicle has black mould present. The beds were very uncomfortable to the extent of feeling the springs, and the noise from other visitors climbing the stairs and opening / closing room doors could be heard (and woke us) throughout the night.

The breakfast (included in price) was sufficient, however time was not given to have cereals first plus the toast came out before the cooked breakfast so it went cold.
I had finished eating before my friend and the waitress came and removed my plates with no regard to another person on the table still eating which we felt was bad practice.

On checking out, the receptionist provided the bill, I paid and was wished a good day. No mention of did you enjoy the stay or will you be returning which again does not fill me with confidence of the staff believing in the standards of this hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid Room 26, this is by the stairs to 3 other room and all noises can be heard.

I purchased gift vouchers for a family member and when i went into the hotel/restaurant i was warmly greeted by more than one member of staff. I was served quickly and efficiently and was explained to well the terms and conditions of sale. My in laws who received the vouchers were more than happy with the food and service and they highly recommended the Dovedale and even said if they didn't live local they would have loved to experience the hotel side of things too!!!

the hotel its self was beautiful, very clean and tidy. breakfast was lovely and staff nice. the down side of this place is the very thin walls, and noisy people in the room next door. I had to bang on the door to let them know.so the night sleep was ruined.

Room Tip: the spa bath was lovely.

Stayed in the dovedale hotel the reception area and bar lounge very clear and comfortable the restaurant was nice and the food was gorgeous .we dined there for evening meal which was lovely but lacking in veg with meal, the breakfast again was hearty and lovely, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room we had was very small and cramped no room for a small chair to relax in or baggage room,no biscuits on tea tray these rooms need updating, I would dine there again but I wouldn't stay there.

Have eaten here a few times and always had a gorgeous meal. Can highly recommend the Sunday lunch and it is very good value for money. There is a small car park at the rear and is very close to the sea front
