We enjoyed another fine Sunday lunch at the Laceby Manor Golf Club Restaurant and Bar. The cost of pre-lunch drinks were added to the bill seamlessly, and we felt we were given plenty of time to both reacquaint ourselves with friends and choose from the menu. I chose the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, served in a rich, gravy sauce. Each of the four of us were perfectly happy with our meals. The Laceby Manor is not trying to be a fine dining experience but what it offers and serves, it does extremely well, at fantastic value-for-money. We arrived at 12.30pm for a 1pm reservation and left at 3.30pm. We didn't feel for a moment that we were being rushed along in any way. Wait staff were ever present without being intrusive. One asked if we'd like a replenishment of vegetables without being asked - it's great when wait staff use initiative and are helpful in this way.
