We visited yesterday lunchtime (Sat) as a family group of 7 and ranged in ages from 11 to 70. We were a little apprehensive about the food but we needn't have worried. Although a little more expensive than normal pub food everything was more than worth it. The food was all freshly cooked and a lot of it was definitely home-made e.g the red onion and goats cheese tartlet, the vegetable soup and chicken parfait. The main courses were large and I can recommend the haddock with chips and minted mushy peas (the tartar sauce also tasted home-made). Service was friendly. I cannot comment on the childrens menu as we all ate from the adult menu. The restaurant was tastefully decorated in lime green and brown and had a view through the french windows of the golf course. on a nice day it would've been lovely to sit out.
