“Eat before you arrive!”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

The Premier Inn at Grimsby is of the usual standard of the Premier Inns, but do not go there hungry! The location is out of the way and while there is a Brewers Fayre attached to the Inn, the only alternatives are McDonalds and Burger King. I arrived on Sunday at 6pm and when registering was told that there was a Sunday Carvery until 8pm which sounded excellent and was looking forward to this as my last meal was a long time ago. I went into the Brewers Fayre at 7pm only to find that the Carvery was completely cleared away from just after 6pm. The evening menu had many of the dishes 'finished' and my 3rd choice of Fish and Chips with garden peas was no substitute for a Carvery, The fish and chips were ok, but the peas were only 'almost' warm. This was a disappointing meal and I wont want to stay at the P. Inn at Grimsby again.

Room Tip: Dont go expecting a nice meal at the Brewers Fayre. Eat before you arrive there as there are no nic...

Our first stay at a Premier inn in a family room. We were very impressed. The room was spacious and very clean. There were 2 beds for the children which was much better than them having to share a sofa bed.The staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. It was quiet overnight which was bliss!

Its very true what lenny henry said on the premiere inn advert.
My stay was amazing.
The staff were very polite and courteous.
The room I stayed in was wonderful. It was very well worth 111 pound for two nights, with my mother and 3 children.
The beds were amazing, I am currently enquiring as to were I can purchase one. The pillows are so soft I had the best two nights sleep of my life.
The brewers fayre is the restaurant next door, as their is no in house restaurant in the premiere inn grimsby. But the brewers fayre is located directly next door. We enjoyed a beautiful evening meal in there on our first night. And in the morning a beautiful premiere brekfast. The breakfast is a wonderful fry up, which you help yourself too, plus you can go up as many times as you like for less than 9 pound per person. Plus children under 16 eat for free. There is a lovely continental breakfast selection also available.

4 in the bed and the little one said...
Very convenient to get everything in one place. Kids had a play area to let off steam, I got a drink in the evening once everyone was asleep. Brekkie was a short walk (lol, i mean literally next door). Everyone got what they wanted!

Pluses are great staff, handy for Grimsby & Cleethorpes.

Negatives, on an industrial Estate could do with clearer direction and exit signs.

A major gripe is this chain's exploitative pricing policy which flies in the face of marketing campaigns & VFM claims. We could have booked in here for say the previous Wednesday for £38 (from memory) and there are posters on your way to your rooms advertising rooms from £29 so it's somewhat disappointing that two nights room only have cost me over £150!

How companies can be allowed to do this legally I'll never know, I would not expect the price of any item (say fuel or supermarket items) to double in price and then drop back to normal prices in days or hours but this industry including this group seems to find it more than acceptable & our govt seemingly doesn't see it as an issue enough to prevent such acts.

Far from encouraging me to want to use such chains regularly it leads me to despise them and only use them as a last resort, shame really.

Room Tip: Ask for a room a good distance from reception. Basic quality building materials mean corridor floors...

Excellent hotel in strange location-fine when we were there on weekend but may be noisy weekdays. Rooms excellent food good. Would stay again. Needs larger wardrobes with doors. Car parking spaces good.

For the money this hotel is very good, the room (22) was large, quiet, and well equipped, the show was good, and did not suffer the hot/cold flushes that often happen.

This hotel is not the Hilton but the price is not either, it is good value for money....

Location wise it is very good, and the staff are very helpful

I would use again if in the area
