Returned to The Bustard today after many years away, all I can say is not only was the food excellent (had roast beef, and was asked how I wanted it, pink or well done, that is a rarity nowadays) but the service from the staff was excellent, thank you Lesley. Will definitely recommend to friends and will be returning soon.

I always love eating at The Bustard Inn when in the area. We travel about 40mins to eat and drink here as the quality of the food, the ambience and the service are always very high. The food is locally sourced and of a high standard. Certainly in this area this place stands out from the crowd.

Last Year we had a fabulous works Christmas party meal
Which was enjoyed by all my colleagues.
So I decided to return with and my husband yesterday for Christmas Day Lunch.
We booked the second seating and on arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady at the bar who welcomed us and took our name etc.
We had arrived 20 mins early and enjoyed a drink at the bar.
We were shown to our table in the main restaurant which was set up lovely, again we were greeted by the two lovely young ladies who were our waitresses for the afternoon,
Our starters arrived along with lovely bread and salted yummy butter!
The main course was served hot and was delicious.
After the gorgeous dessert, cheese, biscuits and mince pies along with coffee were served.
Every course was presented lovely by The smiling young waitresses, and sufficient times between courses.
Lesley the owner was very pleasant and attentive.
Our Christmas Day lunch at the Bustard was a very enjoyable afternoon.
We would highly recommend.
