Our first trip out to eat inside for many months. The Bustard Inn has never disappointed and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly and the whole ambience was just beautifully done. All Covid precautions were thoughtfully managed and we felt very safe and well looked after.

Our first restaurant excursion since lockdown. Very well
organised one way system, both inside and outside and
careful social distancing. Very reassuring.

Ordered a pint of Peroni, served at a perfect temperature,
and a bottle of Harrogate Spa water.

Two crab and cucumber roulades as starters - delicious!

My wife chose " Catch of the Day" hake on a risotto. Very
good, though the portion of fish was rather small for the price.
I unfortunately ordered the Beef Short Rib, with chips, rather
than the menu trimmings. It consisted of one large bone, with
virtually no meat, and a second chunk of predominently fat.
even the chips were overcooked. Happily, the glass of Malbec
was most enjoyable.

Finished with dark chocolate nut delice, which was very good,
whilst my wife chose the Isles Flottantes - excellent - better than
we ever had in France!

Service was fast and efficient, by two very friendly young ladies.

Visited for Sunday Lunch with a friend yesterday and we were extremely impressed on every level, as despite all the Covid regulations, we had a wonderful, relaxed and enjoyable meal. The food was excellent, beginning to end it was all extremely good, my pressed Pork Cheek starter was delicious and the roast beef we both had was as good as you’ll get anywhere. The staff were fantastic too, charming, chatty, nothing too much bother and the atmosphere was great - in fact I can pay it no higher compliment than say it was a much welcomed return to a former time, as once we were sat down and had taken our masks off, we could have forgotten we were in the midst of this wretched Pandemic. This place may be a bit off the beaten track, but it really is well worth a visit and we will definitely be back another time.

A great meal at the Bustard, superb service and a great atmosphere. The steak (not greasy) and the mushroom (not greasy) were amazing and possibly the best steak I’ve had for a while. We had a lovely evening, thanks to the great food and the wonderful staff.

We have been to The Bustard for many post Dog walk drinks in the past and often commented on how delicious the Sunday lunches look. After seeing a full beer garden last weekend we decided to book in and have a post Dog walk lunch Instead of just a drink, and were in no way disappointed. The food was delicious- perfect sized portions and cooked beautifully. The Eton mess cheesecake is glorious and I’d have given this restaurant 5* purely for that. Even though it was very busy the staff were attentive, polite and very mindful of the social distancing etiquette without making it clinical. All in all, we had a wonderful lunch in lovely surroundings and will return many more times in the future.
