Super b&b, our hosts were friendly and helpful, giving good info.about local walks etc. cream tea on arrival made us very welcome. Good breakfast to get us going and well situated south of the three peaks. Local pub only 50 meters away, what could be better.

Room Tip: If you are tall, the top bedrooms have low oak beams=mind your head

Just returned from a three night stay which was excellent in every degree. David and Sue were very welcoming hosts and all was first class: king size room of a very generous size and very comfortable:spotlessly clean and well appointed with lovely en suite:good sized residents lounge with comprehensive array of books, maps and guides:great breakfast choice and cooked to perfection, served in a spacious dining room:secure under cover bike storage.
Looking forward to visiting again as Austwick is a lovely area, peaceful with excellent range of walks and cycle routes and well situated near to Clapham and Settle.

Recently had a three night break at Wood View and pleased to report that everything is as good as ever. David and Sue always very friendly and helpful. Rooms never look shabby or jaded - Decoration very good. Breakfast is still excellent. Austwick is beautifully situated, with a good village pub and local shop/post office. Couldn't wish for more.

Room Tip: Room 1 is a large double/triple with an excellent en suite shower

This small bed and breakfast is an ideal spot whether you are a walk (The Three Peaks walk is at your toe tips) or exploring in a more gentle walk literally from the doorstep or visiting some interesting places like Settle, Skipton, Bolton Abbey, and other Yorkshire Dales treats. Very warm welcome from the owners, tea and scones on arrival, spotless rooms, homemade biscuits by the kettle, and a great breakfast. Friendly help to find what you need- the right walking trail, a restaurant booking- anything to help your stay. If it rains there are plenty of games you can borrow, loads to read and a terrific Pub Dining of the Year award winner (2013) virtually next door- The Gamecock for good fun. You won't ask for a better place for a week or a few days. Book early to avoid disappointment from return visitors!

Room Tip: Room 1 - really big shower Room 2 of you prefer a bath

I have just returned home from a 3 night stay at Wood View. David and Sue are a really nice couple, very welcoming and hospitable, and could't have been more helpful. The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable with all the trimmings. Beware the oak beams in the top floor rooms, but their style and décor more than make up for the risk and I would stay in one again. The breakfast was terrific with wonderful smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. They even had decaffeinated filter coffee, which you don't get very often even in hotels. The house is in a very nice village, well situated and very near to the local pub which is to be recommended. It has a nice atmosphere and gets very busy so bookings are needed. It is closed on a Monday so a group of us went to The Traddock Hotel in the Village. The food was overcooked and expensive, so another village may be a better alternative on a Monday evening. To be fair thought they did take account of the problem on the bill.
I would thoroughly recommend Wood View, it is clear that David and Sue really love what they do, enjoy their work and it shows.
I am returning again in August for another 3 days and I am sure will visit again after that.

Very friendly welcome with tea/coffee and cakes (no problems catering for my wheat intolerance either!). Lovely, spacious room with all home comforts and big comfortable bed. Excellent breakfasts with plenty of choice to suit all tastes and appetites. All in all, can't fault this B&B for friendliness, service, comfort, cleanliness - you name it, it was spot on.

Brilliant location too, we'll definitely be back to this part of the country and Wood View too. Pippin the Jack Russell was made welcome and can't wait to go back either!
