From the homemade cake and tea on arrival to the wonderful breakfast we could not fault this B and B. The hosts were very friendly and our room clean and comfortable. A very peaceful village with an excellent pub serving good food across the road. What more can you ask for. We had a lovely walk from the B and B down to Aysgarth falls.

Would love to come again.

The host is very nice and considerate. We arrived very tired on this first day after a long walk and was welcomed with water, hot tea and cake. Felt like going back home. All equipment (incl TV) functioned well and the room is clean. The place is quiet and a overnight stay, we felt refreshed.

This B and B is well located in a small pretty village in the Yorkshire dales. We had a twin room with separate bathroom and w.c, all were spotlessly clean. Our room was a bit on the small side. There is an excellent pub opposite and great walks starting from the doorstep. The owners were helpful with local information and generous with their time.

Room Tip: If you are a couple they have a very nice room at the front of the house, our friends had this. This...

From arrival through to departure the stay was excellent. Location wise the guest house allows easy access to many local areas of interest and varied walks. Less than a minute walk across the road is a delightful inn with great food and cosy atmosphere. The service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Out room was well equipped, modern and clean.
The option of a one night stay was ideal for us and on searching the area it seemed that few were able to accommodate this so gave us the flexibility we needed.

My partner and I have just returned from the Cornlee for an overnight stay as we were off to a wedding and needed somewhere in the local area. Unsure about what we could expect we were very impressed. On arrival we were greeted by Jayson who was very welcoming and showed us to our room (we stayed in No.1) which was lovely and clean and of a very high standard. We were then treated to tea and coffee with a lovely slice of homemade cake. Our taxi's were also booked to our venue on our behalf which was no trouble at all.
The breakfast was delicious, I had the teacakes with Wensleydale and my partner had a full Dales breakfast.
Nothing was too much trouble and it was a delight to stay. I would definitely recommend this Guest House and hope to return for a longer stay.

A group of five of us reached Cornlee at the end of a hard day's walk in the cold and rain - we couldn't have asked for more. A warm welcome from Jayson who sorted out our wet boots then produced tea and cake; lovely rooms (well heated), spot on advice re where to eat and a superb breakfast. Some hosts overdo it or fail to make you feel welcome but Jayson is first class. One of the best we've stayed in during more than 12 years' walking - I'd happily come back with my wife, so this isn't just for hiking. Excellent.
