The Crab Manor was such a treat! This is the first time we have stayed but will definitely be coming back!
Each of the rooms are themed to represent a different part of the world, we stayed in Mount Nelson which was in the main house. There is a communal sauna and hot tub which we took full advantage of - we had it all to ourselves too which was great.
The little extras really made the trip too, complimentary refreshments in the room, the friendly and approachable staff, the peace and quiet and the beautiful grounds.

We dined in the Crab and Lobster and I have to say I'm not a big fish fan so think I missed out on what they do best. The food was lovely - not as mind-blowing as I was led to believe but still a yummy meal and breakfast.

We will definitely be returning on a special occasion. Very romantic indeed!!

Room Tip: We stayed in Mount Nelson in the main house - perfectly located for the hot tub!! The Ritz looked f...

We stayed in the Mount Nelson Manor House Room. First time in the Manor House as we have always previously been in the outside Luxury Rooms. We were pleasantly surprised, especially as we got it on a deal for £99. I have read other reviews that say it is over priced. Yes it is expensive, but try and book a room at short notice to see how popular it is! They have a unique product here. We have paid much more than this for a night away and not enjoyed it half as much.

This is my wife and I sixth visit to Crab Manor and it certainly won't be our last.

The rooms are superb; all individually themed and very very querky. We stayed in the Le Touessrok, which is the Mauritius themed room and It came with it's own hot tub and sauna (the best way to relax is to spend an afternoon in the hot tub with a bottle of champagne).

One of the best things about Crab Manor is their excellent restaurant, The Crab & Lobster. Again very querky (and pricy) but worth every penny.

tip: go for the Lobster Thermidore

We're already planning our next stay and are aiming to go in one of their new rooms: Lake Como.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Bora Bora is still our favourite

I cannot recommend this place enough. This is the second time i have stayed here and it was just as fantastic as the first. The rooms, food, staff, all make this a magical place to stay.I stayed in Bardola Lodge this time. The private hot tub defiantly makes a difference. The rubbish british weather doesn't get a look in when the hot tubs on. You wouldn't think you were in a hotel. The food was excellent, and the live jazz music was an excellent addition to the night. This place really is one of them places to tick off, as its definitely different from any other place you may have stayed at..

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic but go for the hot tub,and break out the Cigars and Cognac

go and stay in bird island; own sauna and hot tub both very large for two.could not fault the room .restaurant is quirky and stylish.only one but! vegetarian menu is none existent and it became a slight problem for us and it seems the chef. We did make the hotel aware of that dietary requirement when we booked, and as we stayed two nights we did want a bit of choice without feeling that we were making a fuss.
Service excellent we would love to return but may not choose to eat there, unless a better choice on menu.

Stayed in the luxurious ski themed cabin with private hot tub. Cabin was awesome, spotlessly clean, service from staff spot on. The crab and lobster restaurant served some great food too. Grounds could do with a bit of landscaping though, need a bit of imagination injecting into them. Oh and the bed had the best mattress in the world - ever. Will be buying one of them soon!
