This is a beautiful place to stay. Everything is spotlessly clean, the food is superb, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff helpful and courteous. This is our 3rdvisit now and we plan more.

Room Tip: Have stayed in standard and deluxe rooms. Standard overlooked the gardens at back of hotel and the deluxe was at the front overlooking the car park and woods. Loved both.

A rather late review of a relaxing 3-day Christmas break at this comfortable hotel, which began with a delicious afternoon tea on arrival. The food was uniformly good - imaginative and freshly-cooked - with many non-residents arriving for festive meals. Christmas Day lunch was an occasion - served in a lovely function room overlooking woods, by pleasant and attentive staff. Festive decorations on each table were a lovely touch.

Our accommodation was very comfortable and beautifully kept. Grinkle Park hotel staff are to be commended - they worked tirelessly and cheerfully to ensure that guests had a enjoyable time - and they maintained very high standards of food, service and housekeeping throughout. We had a lovely Christmas break and would like to thank everyone who helped to make it so.

after an initial mix up with the room bookings we were offered the Grouse `Moor suite at an additional cost to ourselves albeit at reduced rate.We had booked a double deluxe room which when booked we requested a king size bed and paid the upgrade, however we were initially given the Mallard which to say the least was a very small double. Not what we expected.
The hotel itself was lovely and comfortable and the food at both the evening meal and breakfast was of a good standard.
The staff were all very pleasant and eager to help.
All in all pleasant stay, perhaps we will go again or try one of the other classic lodges.

Room Tip: make sure your request is carried out and ask for confirmation of your request prior to your arrival.

Stayed here for two nights, the hotel in general is fine, our room was well appointed but it seemed to be right above the kitchen.
On one afternoon we were disturbed by the sound of logs being chopped right under our room, the resonated through the floor and lasted 90 mins.
Later that evening we were again disturbed by banging comming from the kitchen, a quick call to reception revealed that it was chef preparing meats. also we heard a lot of banging as if items were being dopped into a hollow metal container, possibly a bin.
Our room was also adjacent to the staff stairway leading to the kitchen area, again this was a source of noise.
All in all a nice hotel, nice staff but be cautious about room location.

Room Tip: Avoid room above the kitchen.

Great manor house that transports you into the 18th century. Friendly staff and very confortable rooms. The place is worth visiting even if you are not staying there.
The ground floor includes lounge bar, comfy sofás, fireplaces and a snooker table.
The gardens and Woods are fantastic.
Hope to return.
PS: there is no swimming pool i made a mistake clicking below.
