“great quiet little park but you need a car”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

a nicely run park with all the amenities you would expect from a haven establishment, friendly courteous staff etc etc, a nice on site shop which was surprisingley reasonably priced with offers on all the time, although the fish & chip shop on site is very pricey but as its the only one within a god knows how radius its either that or nothing lol unless you of course have a vehicle as although it has direct access to the beach if the weather aint too good theres not much else you can do if staying in a tent than either goin into the pretty small arcade on site or the pub/club.

it does have a frequent bus service both to and from scarborough and brid but the prices to travel are quite extortionate in my eyes, so i would advise that you have a car to visit. all in all a nice quiet place more for the older end id say but does still have lots to do for the kids if you have em, we went as a couple and thoroughly enjoyed it the first time as the weather was nice but when we went back later in the year when the weather werent too cracky we found it a lot less desirable but that was probably due to the fact we had no car, but at 38 quid for 4 nights we couldnt grumble and that was booked on the actual haven site too

Thank you for taking the time to post a review.

I am pleased that you found the park and amenities up to the standard expected from Haven and also that the team were friendly and courteous. We do work hard to provide a pleasant environment for our guests and I am delighted that this shows.

The good old British weather can be unpredictable so on rainy days why not spend a day in the warmth of our indoor pool or enjoying a tasty meal in the Mash & Barrel alternatively wrap up warm and take in the beautiful views of Filey Bay whilst strolling along the beach.

All in all it sounds like you enjoyed your stay with us at Reighton Sands and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again sometime soon.

Kind regards

We have stayed here for the last 3 years, it's beautiful, if your looking for a quiet holiday away with stunning views this is the site for you, every caravan we have stayed in has had a lovely view but last year we had the most amazing caravan right on the front on the cliff it was perfect, we will always stay in prestige caravans as they are like little show homes, I can not wait to come again, this year we are staying at Primrose Vally as we are meeting friends who have a caravan their, but I must admit I'm not looking forward to it as much knowing that I won't have that beautiful view. The staff are lovely and the site size and amenities are just right for this site, I would recommend anyone to come here, can't wait until next year to come again !! :)

Room Tip: Book prestige, relax and enjoy the stunning views especially the sun sets.

Wow what a fantastic 5* review – thank you

We really do value our returning guests and it is a joy to read how much you love our Reighton Sands. I agree that the views are stunning from most parts of the park and it sounds like this is the ideal place for you and your family to spend your holidays. I think I can guess where you were located last year and I can understand why you liked it so much.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to Primrose Valley but very much look forward to your return to us in 2015.

Kind regards

Many thanks for taking the time to post a review.

It gives me great pleasure to read that the team are doing a good job and that you would visit us again. We do have areas on park where holiday homes are sited on grass with no roads through and these are ideal for families with children. Oakwood is one of the parts that has benefited from additional parking next to most of the vans. We are continually updating the park, making sure of course that this is done in order of priority.

We hope to see you again at Reighton Sands sometime soon.

Stayed here with my family in October. Views were stunning situated on cliff top. Only downside couldn't let kids run around outside unless we right beside them. Staff on the site were really friendly and helpful, could be doing with more staff in mash & barrel as waited a while to get served even though it was a particular quiet time. On the whole we all enjoyed our stay and would return again

Thank you for your lovely review.

I agree that due to our ‘cliff top setting’ the views from many areas of the park are absolutely stunning. This also includes spots that are situated away from the cliff top if that’s what you prefer.

The team on park work hard to provide a pleasant environment for our guests so I am pleased that you found us friendly and helpful, your comments are very much appreciated so again thank you.

On the whole an enjoyable stay and we look forward to your return.

Stayed here beginning of august 2013,wasn't happy with location of our first caravan,it was next to the laundry block and staff were constantly having fag breaks right outside our window, reception staff were only to happy to help and gave us a another caravan which happened to be bigger!lovely sea views in a lovely location, not much to do on site, but if your willing to travel there is lots to do,filey is just up the road as is scarbrough, bar overpriced and did get very crowded in the mash and barrel, but overall a lovely clean site.

Hello there thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our park.

I am pleased to read that the team were helpful in re-locating you when you were unhappy with the location of your first holiday home. It sounds like this made your holiday with bigger accommodation and lovely sea views – perfect.

We offer a good range of entertainment and sports and leisure activities for all the family to enjoy but if you do feel like a day off park we are ideally situated within easy reach of the lovely seaside towns of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough which are well worth a visit!

We hope that we get the pleasure of welcoming you back sometime soon.

We stayed at the Reighton Sands Holiday Park for one week for Half Term at end of October. We stayed in a prestige caravan 2 bedrooms which was ok for a family of four. Luckily it has heating as the time of year is a bit cold. The caravan was fine. There was a stain on sofa which spoilt the look of it but everything else was fine. We visited the lovely beach which can be reached via a steep pathway from the park. We visited Whitby and York Railway museum whilst staying there. Both attractions were good. The park itself didn't offer much for our 13 year old but was fine for our younger child at 8 years. The park has a handy shop and generally the park is kept clean and tidy from what we saw, so no disappointments there.

Room Tip: The more expensive caravans are the nicest ones and some have a slight seaview. We had a slight seav...

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our park.

I am pleased that the prestige accommodation you were allocated was satisfactory for you and your family. The additional heating provided in these holiday homes adds that little extra comfort during the colder months which helps to provide that ‘home from home’ feeling.

It’s great that you got to visit the beach and also found the time to check out some other local attractions. We are ideally situated within easy reach of some lovely seaside towns and villages if you feel like a day out.

In the main an enjoyable break which we hope you will repeat sometime in the near future.

This was our first visit to haven having stayed previously in a park resort and Haven was head and shoulders above it. Caravan was excellent so clean, spacious. Facilities modern and clean. Children and us enjoyed lazy river. Entertainment good and food good in the restaurant. Don't expect a big kids indoor area and my one complaint was the outdoor play area was good but there was nothing for under fives outside at all. Security on the front of entertainment complex were so friendly and made a real fuss of the children. Beach was idyllic if a little steep. Now looking at haven sites in Cornwall,

Thank you for your super 5* review

How wonderful to read that you found your first visit to Haven Holidays head and shoulders above your previous holiday provider. This is fantastic news and we’re thrilled that you chose Reighton Sands as your holiday destination.

It sounds like you made the most of the facilities we have to offer and even got to try out the lazy river with your children. This was a new addition to the park for 2012 and has proved very popular with our guests.

The children’s play park outside of the Mash & Barrel is good fun but for the little ones there is a smaller play area around the back of the complex near touring area 1.

All in all a fantastic holiday! We hope that we get the pleasure of welcoming you back here after you have tried some of our other sites.

Kind regards
