Abbot's Leigh Guest House was perfect, location and hospitality was second to none. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best we have had. The room was very clean and tidy with everything that we needed. As the Guest House was in a quiet part of Filey and the fact that the bed was amazingly comfy and we needed a ladder to get into it, we both had a lovely nights sleep. The personal touch of cake and fresh milk confirmed to us that guests are really loved and thought a lot of. This added to the wonderful experience that we had. We would definitely go back to Abbot's Leigh.

We have just returned from our second stay at Chris and Stephanie's, and we will definitely keep going back. If you are after excellent service, a fabulous breakfast and lovely hosts, Abbot's Leigh is the place for you. We have had our dog with us each time, and she loves it there too :-)
We have recommended it to all our friends :-)

Just spent two nights in the best kept B & B we have stayed in.
Family get together and was great being able to take our dog.
Food good and nothing was too much trouble.
Hope to return in near future.

My wife and I spent a very comfortable two nights (7th & 8th April) in this lovely, clean and friendly guest house. The hosts were very solicitous of our welfare, making us feel very welcome without being over intrusive. The room (one of their smaller rooms) was delightful with a very comfortable bed, a table with two nice chairs and a scrupulously clean modern en-suite bathroom. The breakfasts were excellent with a very varied menu, I can thoroughly recommend the house speciality of pancakes with black pud. and perfectly poached egg. Filey is a beautifully kept traditional seaside town and this quest house makes an excellent central base. Highly recommended.

Stayed here Saturday 29th March for Mother's Day weekend with my parents and my 10yr old son. My Mum has difficulty walking / climbing stairs so the fact that Steph & Chris had a ground floor room was a definite factor when I booked.

Welcoming, friendly hosts, spotless cleanliness (unbelievably so and to say dogs are welcome -there's no evidence whatsoever so even if you're "not a pet person", don't let this put you off!)

Little touches here & there make Abbot's Leigh an absolute gem & as I've been visiting the East Coast since childhood, I'm happy to continue while ever there are places such as Abbot's Leigh!

Easily recommendable for solo travellers, couples & families. Will definitely be back!

Thank you Steph & Chris for being so accommodating.

Room Tip: Ground floor if you have difficulty walking but all are lovely as recently refurbished to a high sta...

We (myself, husband, 6yr old son and well behaved pet pooch Bentley the Bulldog) decided at the very last min to have a night away in our favourite seaside town Filey. After checking on www.iknow-yorkshire.co.uk for guest houses that take dogs and after reading the fab reviews on Abbot's Leigh, I called to check availability (rang Friday afternoon to stay Saturday Night during February Half term!) Steph & her husband Chris were very accommodating as the only room they had left was a large double (amazing 6ft bed) that could also be made into a twin, which meant our son would have to sleep with us. Steph was more than happy with this as long as we didnt mind and of course we didnt. Steph met us on arrival with a warm welcome and showed us to our room. Oh what a lovely room it was too. Newly refurbished and immaculately presented with light decor, excellent storage/hanging provision and a warm homely feel. Amazing newly fitted en suite shower room. Hospitality tray included cup a soups, a sewing kit, cookies, hot chocolate and of course tea, coffee and milk. Wall mounted flat screen tv/dvd, hairdryer. You could tell lots of careful thought and consideration had gone into providng the best in home comforts for their guests. There was a breakfast menu with ample choice. Breakfast was very nice indeed. Will definately be returning!! Thankyou so much Chris & Steph - love the Dean Family xxxxxx

Room Tip: We stayed in ground floor room number 2.
