We booked in advance at this restaurant as we had wanted to visit for a while, and didn't want to leave it to chance. Upon our arrival we were given a dark table at the back of the restaurant, when quite clearly there were other tables free. We asked if we could move and were given a table at the front which was nice and light. Don't know why we weren't given this in the first place! I had the scallops to start, which were good so I was looking forward to the main. However, my pasta with salmon was very bland, the sauce almost non-existent. My husband had chicken accompanied with a nice selection of vegetables, which he enjoyed. My husband also had a pudding and we had an acceptable bottle of red. Prices were reasonable, the atmosphere relaxed and we will probably eat there again as the location is so convenient, but compared to other Italian restaurants we have been to, the sauces, flavouriings and seasonings all need to be improved.
