Stayed for a 3 night break in June with our toddler daughter. Stayed in Solo apartment sunrise dirive 10. Good points were nice new accomodation, clean, welcoming staff at check in, nice private access to the beach within walking distance, lovely wildflower meadow on site with barn owls hunting, good food at both the restaurants on site both with good service and friendly staff. Not so good points, few minor issues with the room, heating system a bit haywire (still on in the middle of June!) on reporting it noone came out to fix it so we had to deal with it ourselves. Few other minor issues such as wonky doors, the smallest piilows in the world! and a less than comfy bed. The site is still under construction and althogh we didn't see anything over the weekend, on the Monday mornig the workers started at 730am with noisy diggers trundling down the road. or the price we paid it provided good value for money and was an excellent base for tootling around the coast. We would probably return but bring our own pillows!

had short break Monday to Friday in solo apartment, the apartment was in need of a good clean , on the first night we tried for over a hour to get the oven on had to get member of staff in who told us to press the timer switch in with a key (as faulty switch)to get it on ..the pillow,s on the bed were so wafer thin we went out and bought new one,s for our stay , also they should change the mattress as you can feel every spring in it very uncomfortable .. on the positive we had a lovely meal in the pub and all staff were friendly ..our second stay here was disappointing ...

Just got home from a Monday- Friday stay in the solo apartment 23b. The apartment was ground floor with a patio which was nice to sit out. The apartment was clean and tidy, comfy bed and nicely decorated. The downfalls, couldn't get the microwave to work and the washer ruined our clothes so we had to take all of our washing home! We didn't have any other issues and it was very quiet and chilled out! We loved going a walk down the beach at night and was very welcoming. We went to, Filey, Scarborough most nights, Whitby and York and a bonus the weather was great. We used the pool and the gym and it was very nice! I wasn't very impressed that we had no WIFI or signal reception on our phones for the entire time unless we were in Scarborough and you would think as they are very new they would have wifi links around the site! Couldn't fault the apartment and would definitely go again would just want to go in a different apartment instead of the same one!
Lovely stay and would definitely recommended.

We stayed here for few days break whilst surfing in Scarborough as opposed to a caravan park. It truely was a relaxing place to stay and will be fantastic once complete. We stayed in a Plymouth apartment which was beautifully decorated and included free wifi. The resort is like a little housing estate with its own pub, cafe, pharmacy and leisure centre. The beach us a short walk away and there is a large meadow adjacent to it. Although not school holiday time, there were no screaming children and no tacky shops or evening entertainment to contend with in the pub. 10 mile drive to Scarborough but worth it.

My wife me and our two small dogs booked into the bay for a weeks stay. We had the first house on the entrance to the park. The house was very warm' clean and comfortable especially the beds.our place had the patio door opening onto the 50acre field brilliant for letting the dogs tire themselves out. It was so quiet no building noise at all although when we walked down to the beach quite a bit of building activity was going on. The pub is ok but nothing special but filey has some great eating places 5 minutes up the road. Our stay was in October so it was very quiet it suited us down to the ground. The houses just through the entrance offer the quietest stays because there is still building going on down near the pub. We can't wait for our next out of season stay it really was relaxing and peaceful.

Room Tip: Look at the site on google earth.

A last minute booking for June this year for a Friday to Monday booking.
Rang the Bay office direct, very efficiently dealt with, arrived next day to a two bedroomed house, immaculately clean, very well appointed - could not fault it.
Short walk through the village to a private beach access to wall on the wonderfully quiet beach.
This place really is quality, immaculately maintained grounds, imaginatively designed houses, all in a wonderful setting.

My family of 6 stayed in a Chatham7 for a week on a friday to friday booking. This was useful as we came from south manchester for a wedding on the saturday. The cottage was clean and very well equipped, with a wonderful nautical theme to the many paintings and decorations. As most of the properties seem to be privately owned but managed by Hoseasons, they are probably not all equipped to the same standard. The beds were comfortable and there was ample storage space in each of them.
The site is close to a long sandy beach, but it was very windy on the one sunny day we had. Its about a mile to walk to the beach but you can park quite close. Its possible to walk to Filey and back if the tides are in your favour.
There is a pub, cafe and pharmacy/shop on site. The pub meals started at around £10, but we didn't try any of them. We did occasionally snack in the cafe, and the burger meals and pizzas were ok. The shop only had limited stock and should really be upgraded to cater better for the expanding site. The next nearest shop was at the Jet garage nearby, with a large Tesco in Filey.
We took advantage of the gym, the aqua sessions in the pool and archery. The archery, fencing, tennis and putting were not free, but it was nice to have those options.
As the weather was not great we visited Scarborough, Pickering, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Bridlington, and Bempton Cliffs to see the puffins, gannets, etc.
There was building work going on, and we weren't too happy with the 7:30 start. This included the man mowing the lawns!
My other gripe was lack of wifi on the site. There was only a wifi connection inside the pub or leisure centre, and with a weak 3G signal on the site I struggled to get an internet connection to find places to go on the wet days.
However, overall we though it was good value and we would consider going back again.

Room Tip: The Chatham7 at 41 Sunrise Drive is definitely worth booking.
