Had a meal at the Royal Oak Monday the 25th food was as previously stated well cooked and presented, large portions, served by a polite landlord and staff. What more can one really ask for.

Good Morning. lol.

If you are near Filey this pub is a must.
The food is fantastic all home cooked, the staff are all very friendly.
The portions are huge, my 7 year old grandson is a very fussy eater he just loved the sausages and wolfed the lot down. Best steak pie ever.
Great service worth a visit if you are in the area

We visited the Royal Oak twice whilst on holiday at Primrose Valley a couple of weeks ago. This pub offers everything Primrose Valley lacks a lovely pub as the title says nice welcome, great beer and fabulous food, with a lovely beer garden in relaxing surroundings.I would advise anyone on holiday in this area to visit. On entering the pub you receive a friendly welcome,a choice of excellent beers, and a varied menu to choose from.We as a family all had different meals, and all of excellent quality and quantity. The home made steak pie was the best i've ever had,and went back the next day so we all could try it.Whenever we visit the Filey area we will be back at this lovely pub,and would advise anyone else to do the same.

We ate here 2 nights of our short holiday to the area. My husband had chilli and says its the best he has ever had, the steak pie was amazing too. Homecooked food, generous portions and great service, a visit is a must if you are in the area.

What a find. The best Steak Pie EVER full of meat and flavour. Son had a large portion and was stuffed and he is a 15 yr old rugby player. Burgers fresh and tasty and the Haddock was so light and tasty and the veg fresh and cooked well. It was soooooo good we immediately booked for the Sunday carvery .
I also had to query the bill because the prices were so reasonable. £60 for a teenage family of five with healthy sporting appetites including drinks. Daughters shared the belgian chocolate pudding with ice cream. We all left feeling very happy with life due to the friendly welcome from all the staff the fabulous hearty home cooked food and a couple of pints of real ale.
I can't believe that this place is not packed to the gunnels day and night.

Thank Paul E
