In need of some attention curtain pole hanging from wall in bedroom and taps loose in bathroom lights not working in the kitchen new mattress needed as feels like you are laid on bed of nails sofa very uncomfortable
The day we arrived the apartment floor was dirty you could hear the grit under your feet the bedroom floor carpet has stains on the carpet.i know I booked an apartment to accomadate a dog ,this does not mean we live in a dirty home and when I'm paying to stay in accommodation i do expect it to be clean.i could write my name in the dust on the unit where tv was and the cushions had dog hairs from the previous dog that had stayed ( my dog isn't allowed on furniture in my home or when away) .I got the Hoover out to clean the floor and what a stench from the Hoover stunk of dogs in need of a clean.
The welcome pack left was very nice .
We had good weather so we were not in the apartment long otherwise I would have paid to clean for them.unless changes are made would not stop here again in this accommodation.
The bay itself is amazing with lots of things to accommodate for everyone of all ages the walk to the beach is good a steep hill down but worth the walk.
Catering for dogs on the site too and on the beach too.i can highly recommend the bay.not only is there the beach but also acres of land to walk your dog with duck ponds and fishing arou d too.
I have informed the accommodation by txt that was unhappy with apartment and got no responce

“Lovely Stay :)”
Reviewed 27 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Me & my partner have just returned from a 3 night stay & had a lovely time.

The keys & documents arrived via post well in advance & the owners kept in contact with me to keep me updated etc & responded straight away.

The apartment was very clean & spacious & had everything that you would need. It was very warm aswell even without having to put the heating on. The settee is a little worn, so could probably do with replacing at some point & the tv's sometimes struggled with signal & we also couldnt get phone signal but wasn't a problem.

The bay itself was very busy & lively. The pub on site was always busy but we never struggled to get a table & the food was very nice. We didn't visit the Italian restaurant next to it. but that too was also very busy. We visited the beach which is a 10minute walk away from the apartment, there were also other facilities & activities to do at the bay.

The apartment itself is in a really good location. We visited Whitby which was 55mins away. Bridlington which was 15mins & Scarborough which was 20mins away. We also went into filey centre which was 5mins away.

We had a lovely Stay & would definitely return & recommend to our friends & family :)

“Another great holiday in Filey”
Reviewed 19 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This is our third time staying with Skelwith. The location is perfect and easy to get to the beech. Annoying that i can never get a phone signal without going out of the property but after a few days its nice to not have the phone distraction. The appartment was in need of a little tlc but we will be back again.

Liked best: Beech close by
Liked least: Needs a little cosmetic work and the building door didnt lock properly which was a worry

“Lovely stay at Sprin Bank Week.”

My husband and I stayed at The Bay Spring Bank Week with our two dogs.

The communication from Skelwith Properties was good and the keys arrived in plenty of time.

We found the property to be exactly as described and what we had expected. There was everything you would need for a weeks stay, including washer/dryer and dishwasher. The bathroom was a good size and both the shower and bath were great. Some features within the lounge were a little tired but we found this to be entirely acceptable within the surroundings of the apartment. When we arrived the apartment was clean, beds were made up and towels provided. Although it was end May/early June it was a cold spell and we used the heating a few times, the flat warmed up in no time at all and I'm sure would be cosy in colder months.

The Bay is a modern and tasteful holiday village, with all properties of a different build giving the impression of a small town. There were on site a pub and Italian
Restaurant , the pub was dog friendly and nice to visit for an evening drink. We did not dine here but the food looked good. We had a take away pizza from the restaurant which was good quality stone baked.

The walk to the beach was fine although a little hilly on the return!! We walked along the clean and dog friendly beach to Filey which is a lovely small town with plentiful eateries that cater for dog owners, with a nice front.

I booked to come back here with Skelwith Properties before leaving and would recommend The Bay to both family or couples with our without dogs!

“Great break”
Reviewed 18 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Lovely 4 night stay. Apartment as advertised. Everything clean & tidy. Sofa uncomfortable though. One of the bedside lamps needed a new bulb but otherwise a great base. On-site bistro & pub had good food. Look forward to going back
