1. Pros: a very well converted set of ex-stables, conveniently situated. Spacious, clean and to a high standard. Warm and with a log fire (not used on this occasion as not required).
2. Cons: on a more pragmatic level, more could have been done e.g. no clock radios or chairs or long mirrors in the bedrooms; the provision of cookerhood lights, bread bin, kitchen roll etc would have been a nice touch to go with the welcome pack of biscuits and tea.
3. wifi would have been welcomed but this is probably not feasible.
We've stayed at both The Stables and Horseshoe Cottage several times over the last few years and every stay has been perfect!
Clean, comfortable, spacious and thoughtfully decorated and furnished to a high standard.
My husband and I stayed at the stables for three nights with his parents, our baby and our dog and there was plenty of room for all of us. The accommodation is beautifully decorated, very cosy and comfortable, with good sized rooms and a very well equipped kitchen with absolutely everything you would need. We were very impressed with the little touches such as a drawer full of DVD's and games (which came in useful on a very rainy day!). The location is fantastic, set on a quiet farm just a short drive or half hour walk into Filey, and a perfect base to explore the east coast. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again, and could have easily stayed for longer.
A superb holiday had by us all and the dogs loved it to. Plenty of walks, the cottage was so central and we were very impressed with Filey
