“Lovely apartment, could do with some TLC”
Reviewed 22 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The Nest is a beautiful apartment in an ideal location. It was just what we needed for our 1-night stay. The owner is helpful and attentive. The Bay has almost everything you need for a long or short break - restaurant, pub, swimming pool, pharmacy (no shop is a shame but can't be helped) and just a short walk (15 mins) down a quiet footpath to the beach. The Nest is beautifully decorated with a lot of care and attention taken, however, it is now in need of a deep clean and some TLC in parts. The shower, for example, is leaking and mouldy in some areas, the duvet cover split in places, pillows stained, some of the glassware, cutlery etc dirty due to the shelves/drawers needing a thorough clean. The Nest is wonderful, let down, potentially, by the cleaning staff who turn the place around on behalf of the owner, which is a real shame.

“Lovely relaxing stay”

We wanted somewhere out of the way, to get away and relax and this was great. Everything we needed, Christine was great, and I'm really glad she sent me details about how to find the place as that would be the only problem, but thankfully she had sent me a message with details about how to get around the holiday village, and how to get into the apartment. The wifi was good, the now tv was good, the stuff around, restaurant, beach activities were all good, will hopefully go back again some time as it was just nice to get away from life! Would recommend, 100%!

“A lovely little apartment”
Reviewed 10 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Just got back from a 2 day break at the Nest and took our little dog as it is pet freindly. The Nest is a one bedroom apartment, modern, clean, bright and well equipped, a real home from home. Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a short walk to the chemist, italian restaurant and pet friendly pub. The owner Christine was very accommodating and let us have an early check in and late check out, she also left us her telephone number in case we needed her. The holiday park is purpose built and and although there is still some building work in progress on the site, it could not be heard from the Nest. We had a peaceful relaxing 2 night break and would highly recommend the Nest when staying at the holiday park. We are hoping to go back again ourselves before the winter as we enjoyed it so much.

“Lovely little flat with an easy walk to the beach”
Reviewed 23 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed here with a baby for two nights and enjoyed the trip very much. The flat is within the Bay holiday park which is a large collection of houses/flats built very recently (and still being built) in a kind of village style. There is a pub that serves food all day, a pharmacy and a little italian cafe/pizza shop. The walk to the beach takes about 10 mins along good paths and takes you past a pond/wildlife area. The beach is about 2 miles from Filey and makes for a good target for a walk.

There isn't a shop within walking distance so it is worth bringing all you need. There is a shop at the petrol station one minute's drive away and a good range of shops in Filey which is 10 minutes drive. It appears take away deliveries will find their way to the Nest.

The flat is a good size for a couple. There is a double bedroom, bathroom and combined kitchen/lounge. We had a travel cot for the baby which fitted well into the corridor. It is on the ground floor and close to the front door so people who have trouble walking would find it accessible. The kitchen is well equipped and the furniture/decor is to a high standard.

A pass for the swimming pool is included which allows for swimming, gym, sauna and steam room from 7AM to early evening. You can hire bikes here too.

We compared this to other types of accommodation in the area and think this is a much better choice than a caravan site. We would recommend the Nest and hope to return one day.

This is our 3rd visit to this beautiful apartment which is superbly located within a few minuets walk of an award winning beach and some fantastic walks. The apartment itself is fitted out with everything you could need and has some great restaurants and shops only a short distance away. Top rated by myself and our group who also have had use of their second apartment upstairs "The Nook" which has the same qualities of "The Nest" we can't wait for our 4th visit!!
