What a beautiful little cottage this is, very clean & tidy close to all the shop's and the beaches. We stayed over the weekend of 06/07/18 for a two night break with our dog milly, if you're looking for somewhere central this is the place although it hasn't got a garden there's a park up the road only a 10minute walk away with fantastic sea views. The accommodation is lovely & modern with the bathroom downstairs, the stairs are quite steep with a turn towards the bottom that could be awkward for some folk but there are hand rails to help you. The two bedrooms are lovely & finished to a good standard, the kitchen is modern and has everything you need, the lounge although not massive is plenty big enough you have to remember these are old fishermen cottages. All in all it's a great place to stay & we will definitely be back for a longer stay.
Trout cottage is very cosy. It is very clean and modern with everything you would need. The heating is included and was very welcome due to weather being cold. The bathroom has under floor heating which was great. The only downside would be the parking, fortunately we had a very small car but even then it's very tight space. Overall would definitely recommend this property.
We stayed for two nights as a family of four with a dog. The place was lovely and clean, great amenities. Close to centre which was good, had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend as a place to stay!
Very clean and tidy, comfortable sleep. Had to park on road had no chance of getting car outside the cottage but it was only a few steps away. Basic cleaning products were available which you don't get a lot at other places and we always forget to take with us.
The cottage itself was very clean, well kept with a good standard of equipment.
It just wasn't for us.
We couldn't park the car, the cottage is up a very narrow one way street, with a very small approach in front of 5 terraced cottages. Trout cottage being the third one in so not private parking at all. But couldn't even get my Volvo estate on.
At no point is it stated on here or on the Trout cottage website state that the bathroom is downstairs. The bedroom is up a very steep staircase so nighttime trips to the loo were difficult.
Also the central heating boiler is located in the main bedroom, this made noises all night giving us little or no sleep.
Sadly we left after one night, should have stayed three.
I will give the owner credit, when contacted she did offer her other cottage. Sadly the damage done and my birthday trip over as we were already on our way home.
Lovely clean and compact cottage everything you need for a holiday.near to. All amienaties, beach town centre and park .
