Just back from two nights at The Old Dairy Farm just outside Hawes in North Yorkshire. Our hosts, Paul and Pam, did everything possible to make our stay perfect. Pam's cooking is delectable and Paul is a wonderful maitre d'. The rooms are very comfortable and the serenity of their home is lovely. Hawes is a lovely town, the Ribblehead viaduct is well worth a visit, as is Carlisle. We caught the train from the station next to the viaduct. We also visited Dent, which is a very pretty village with a very old church. Well worth a visit.
Coffee and cake on arrival was much appreciated, we ate in both nights as the food and service was so good and we met some really nice fellow guests.
We will definitely be returning in the New Year.More
