Visited the day after the tour de France came through the town, almost as an excuse to do something none bicycle related, and it was a lovely diversion for an hour.
Friendly welcome from knowledgeable staff, who are also a couple of the wide variety of artists. There's a good range of products available to buy from little trinkets to large works of hand made art and much in between. Nice range of drinks and snacks available too. Despite the town being thronged by hoards of extra visitors in for the tdF, the staff took time out for a chat.
Park in the Dales country museum car park opposite (pay & display). Gallery is up a flights of stairs; no lift.
