Wensleydale Cheese making got to be seen. great cafe and a great Wensleydale Cheese tasting area. Suitable for all ages, and able to see the Cheese actually being made. As just within walking distance of Hawes, then a great way to see the area and explore the histoy.

We had heard that his was an interesting place to visit. On arriving it appeared to be a little disappointing as all you could see was the shop and some dairy buildings (it is a creamery after all). After investigating a little further we found the museum and viewing experience which were quite interesting and informative and then the cheese tasting and cafe which were very very good. The food in the cafe was of a high quality and good value. All in all a good place to visit for young and old.

I love cheese and this was a fab place to visit and learn all about wensleydale cheese. The cheese shop has about 30 different samples to eat which was my highlight haha! We bought 4 blocks of different types that are not usually found in the supermarket and the family loved them.

Only downside was they weren't making cheese at the time in the creamery but you could still go and look at the machinery they use and there was a demonstration on cheese making instead, the public were given the chance to ask any questions of the demonstrator about the large scale production of the cheese and she was very knowledgeable.

Good shop and cheap to get in to the museum!

Had 2 for 1 vouchers so cost £5 for 4 people. Spent a nice couple of hours looking around & tasting the cheese. Ideal place to pop in if in area & weather is not good.

We visit the Dales at least twice a year always staying staying at the wonderful Stone-house Hotel at Nearby Sedbusk
Recently upgraded this place is excellent not only for the amazing selection of cheeses with unlimited free samples they also have a very nice rester-aunt and gift shop all at prices which don't exactly rob the bank
I was also particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff so all in all a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours only downside for me was what seemed extortionate price for fuel at the local garage so best fill up before you come
