“A cheesey delight”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

An excellent visitor attraction, with thoughtfully stocked gift shop. Being able to sample all the different cheeses on offer is a big bonus, ensures you choose those best suited to you. The Cafe has delicious food and beverages on offer. Best to check before your visit what days 'cheese making' tours are held you don't want to miss it!

Enjoyed the experience so much we will visit again when next in the area, well done.

“Pleasey-cheesey”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

If you like cheese, especially Wensleydale...there is nowhere better. You can try more than thirty flavours - mild to intense and smoked, and flavoured with cranberry, lemon, ginger and much more besides. A nice FREE visitor centre and then pay a small fee to see the museum and creamery. May not be making cheese when you visit but in the hygenic refrigerated shop in the FREE visitor centre two chefs constantly cut cheese and pile it up for you to try...Delightful. Reasonable free parking and the rest of the village is nearby. You won't leave hungry...but if you've got stamina you can leave here knowing what your favourite Wendleydale is and a tummy full of pleasey-cheesey. Large shop with lots of Yorkshire Dales arty-crafty-touristy stuff besides.

“Great location for cheese lovers”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

A must for all cheese lovers. There is ample parking, a good cheese shop with tasting facilities, a cafeteria, a souvenir shop, a cheese museum and the possibility to see the cheese production from the visitors' gallery. The only negative aspect: sometimes too crowded in summer.

“Gromit would love it!”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

A fascinating place to visit if you are in the dales and especially if you are a cheese lover. There is a small museum (a small charge) and you can watch the cheese actually being made and then go into the cheese room for as much tasting as you like. I never knew there were so many types of Wensleydale! The restaurant food looked really good (virtually everything came with cheese) - but we only had a coffee. A good place to visit if the weather is closing in - and small enough to keep the interest of most children.

“Perfect wet weather attraction.”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

Hardly anything to get in as we had a 2 for 1 voucher. A bit disappointed that they weren't making cheese on the day of our visit, but we more than got over that when we tried out all the cheeses in the shop. Took us about 30 minutes to go round museum.
