Stayed here a year ago and been meaning to write a review ever since. Worked in hawes itself for a couple of weeks during the winter snow and was made welcome straight away. Nice warm fire from the morning till night which seemed a god send in my eyes, cooked breakfast was great and the rooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds. Would be the choice of stay if I was in the area again.

Stayed for 2 nights on a walking break on 8th and 9th January. A roaring range fire greeted us on our arrival as warm as the reception from Helen who had rung earlier to see when we thought we might arrive.
Nothing was too much trouble (even when we managed to lock ourselves out of the room!) and we had a wonderfu stay.
Would definitely stay again.

We walked into Hawes in the dark after getting a bit lost on the hills at the end of a 15 mile hike from Aysgarth. Helen was so welcoming (and had rung earlier in the day to check we had directions etc) and showed us to a large warm room with plenty of space and heat to dry our wet clobber. She recommended a good pub for dinner (white hart three doors down). Served us a Lovely breakfast before we headed on our way. Only minor quibble was the breakfast room was quite chilly but the B&B had been closed for a few days over Christmas and we were the only guests so it is probably not always like that.

Room Tip: We were in the basement room which only has a window in the ceiling, but as we were only there in th...

We stayed one stormy night and were so pleased to arrive to a splendid welcome from Helen, and her guests, with whom we shared wine and chat before a roaring fire. Very convivial. Helen recommended the White Hart for an evenign meal, which was a good choice, and we spent a comfortable night - although the bathroom was rather in need of a refurb! Breakfast the next morning was very good and we would certainly recommend this B & B.

While celebrating our wedding at Simonstone we booked the whole hotel for family members to stay in. Helen was absolutely amazing, helping us with other accommodation we needed, taxis etc etc and welcomed our family with wine and a roaring fire. They all loved the friendly atmosphere she creates. We recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in Hawes

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the town centre are the nicest

My wife and I stayed at The Bulls Head for a 2 night stay over a saturday to monday. It's a very quaint and lovely B&B and Helen the owner makes you feel very welcome and gives good info on where to eat in the village and places to visit. The breakfast area is on one side of a large room and a very inviting lounge/reception area on the other. We stayed in the Coverdale room which was very cosy with a lovely comfortable bed and a good size en suite.
As other reviewers have stated breakfast is fab that sets you up for the day, cereals, friut, full english, vegetarian, a good selection.
The B&B is situated right in the centre of the village with a few shops and 3 pubs right next door to each other, a great way to end the day!!
So a big thank you to Helen and her staff for a fantastic weekend. We would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again.
