Visiting family in Knaresborough and were told by them that the Mason's was open again under new management.
Knowing their reputation in the past decided to try the place again as the place had lost it's way over the years.
Glad we did, all courses good, decent size serving, not too big nor too small.
Steaks done to a "T", veg not under cooked not soggy, just so.
Pleasant staff who were sorry that not all the real ales were available as the accounts needed to be set up with the brewers. The beer they had on tap was well kept.
Very necessary for the local Yorkshireman trade.
Had a chat with the chef and waitress/manageress after the meal and was very impressed with their plans and the ethos they want to create.
My local Yorkshire family members will be back and so will my wife and I when visiting the UK again.
We wish them well with their new venture, we think they have the right attitude to succeed.
