Your gregarious host, Mike will look after you during your stay. Offering helpful information about the area as well as restaurants nearby and he'll cook you a great breakfast too.. The accommodation is excellent, very clean, peaceful, relaxing and well appointed. A home from home. Well worth a visit

We had a wonderful few days at Teardrop. The accommodation is delightful, very comfortable beds and our bathroom was to die for! Mike is such a welcoming host and his wonderful breakfasts kept us going until well into the afternoon. The position of the cottage is perfect for exploring Knaresborough and further afield as the station and the buses are all close by. The motto by the front door is 'Arrive as strangers and leave as friends', so very true. We have already booked to come back again next year.

We really loved this B&B and just wished we could have stayed longer. Knaresborough is a lovely place to visit and very pretty. If you want a good nights sleep then ask for the bedroom on the ground floor it has THE most comfortable bed ever.
Full marks to housekeeping, as the rooms were spotless. Thank you also to Mike for being a wonderful host and very kindly giving our daughter her sock buddy who she has cuddled non stop since.
Last but not least, breakfast was delicious and is to be highly recommended. Look out for the unusual black pudding, it's not black but is very tasty!

We only stopped for one night, but we had a really lovely relaxing stay! We were made to feel very welcome & Mike was a great host & recommended local places to us (which were also very good). Not en-suite, but our private bathroom was great and had a really interesting window onto the gorge. Bedroom was comfy & well equipped & the location is fabulous, enjoyed a drink from the roof terrace overlooking the river. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast & did not even notice that we were offered a time as some other reviewers have mentioned. Teardrop Cottage is a really interesting place to stay & I would love to visit again.

What a refreshingly wonderful location, property & owner............probably the best B&B in the world & worth every penny. The decor is eclectic and interesting both in the bedroom & the lounge/dining room. Breakfast is simply superb in every way!...fresh, tasty, excellent presentation and cooked to perfection. Mike was there on arrival to greet us and chatty at breakfast and took every opportunity to impart local information & is just a fantastic host. The location is right on the river, very close to town & the station is just around the corner and there are plenty of walks in the area including the Harrogate ringway 21 mile circular route starts across the bridge.
Will I stay again ............YES!

We have just returned from 3 nights at Teardrop Cottage and cannot recommend it highly enough. Beautiful accomodation in a wonderful setting with a fantastic host! What more could we ask for! Mike was the perfect host and his breakfast was gorgeous. The time slot system is not a problem at all and works really well. Mike obviously wants to deliver the overall experience in a particular way and has perfected it. Decor is beautiful and so homely.
Perfect location for exploring Harrogate and York.
Fantastic job Mike, thank you so much.

This has to be the nicest B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. The location was fabulous and the attention given to us by Mike was world class. On next visiting Yorkshire we will be sure to stay at "The Teardrop Cottage" in Knaresborough.
