We found the cottage to be warm and cozy with a very comfortable bed. It is well equipped and Karen was very welcoming and helpful. There was constant hot water and heating and like home from home in the kitchen. There was an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Lots of lovely finishing touches and lovely big towels that could be replaced whenever. Outside there is a courtyard with tables chairs and fairy lights which would be lovely in summer. The cottage is well positioned for the town, which is busy and the people are friendly. The down points are the bed settee in the living room isn't really comfy and the sink in the bathroom is very tiny. There was a pine table with 3 chairs which weren't very secure and not a lot of storage space. Having said that, we loved the place and would go back, Well worth a stay.

The cottage is wonderful. The bed is comfy and there is a fully working kitchen and shower room. I will definately stay again for a longer look around the local area. You also couldn't ask for nicer hosts.

A great find! Bijou cottage, quiet, warm and comfortable with all you could need. Centrally positioned in Knaresboro and a stones throw from the station for trains to York, Harrogate and Leeds. Nothing too much trouble for Karen. Would highly recommend.

“Beautiful and comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 22 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

This is a very nice little cottage, based a minute's walk from Knaresborough's market square. On arrival, we found the owner Karen to be very helpful and welcoming. The cottage has one bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. In the lounge there is a sofabed, table and four chairs and Freeview television. The kitchen had all that we needed: an oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, sink, utensils, crockery, mugs and glasses. The shower room always provided hot water. Hot water in the kitchen is activated by pulling the cord. There is also central heating in the bedroom and lounge which warmed us up on the cold nights. Free wifi is also accessable in the cottage, which was very useful. If I was to stay in Knaresborough again, I'd be more than happy to stay here! It worked out a better deal than booking a hotel and it is near pubs, restaurants and the attractions of Knaresborough.

Liked best: Everything. Karen is the perfect hostess! The ice cream shop two blocks over!
Liked least: The train ride on the way back. Who wants to go home from holiday?

Great central location for knaresborough and getting around the local area. The cottage was spacious with a modern but cosy feel, lovely furnishings. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable self catered stay, including wi-fi, modern kitchen and bathroom fittings. Would definitely stay again.
