Perfect hosts, perfect room, perfect breakfasts, Glyn and Joanna were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was the twin on the ground floor overlooking the garden, we were only woken by the birds in the morning it was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a lovely weekend and will return hopefully later in the year.

We chose Porch House having read good reviews and what a great choice it was! We had a very good room - pretty wallpaper, well furnished, spotlessly clean and well equipped and quiet, overlooking the lovely garden - very comfortable twin beds (sometimes difficult to have twin beds at B&Bs but no problem here) with proper mattresses and good fragrant linen. The bathroom - spotless, shower only which suited us perfectly. Very good attention to detail and generous products and good towels. Excellent powerful shower too. Breakfast was excellent and our hosts could not have done more for us in the most charming and helpful way. We shall definitely stay here again when in North Yorkshire. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the garden are quieter.

We loved our visit to the Porch House on our recent trip to N.Yorks. The room was very pretty and well equipped and was overlooking the garden. There was a plentiful supply of tea and coffee, bottled water and biscuits. The bed was comfortable and there was a scrupulously clean shower room with a very good shower. Toiletries were provided along with flannels.

Breakfast was served at a mutually agreed time to ensure the items were freshly cooked and was truly excellent. Yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, toast and a great selection of cooked items. Our host Glynne sourced a kipper as my partner mentioned he liked them - and what a kipper - it was huge!

There was a lovely sitting room, wifi access (patchy, but where isn't?) Our host and hostess were attentive and kind and certainly went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending this lovely B&B.

We selected this B&B because our usual hotel had no vacancies. We had no expectations and just needed somewhere to stay in Northallerton.

Upon arrival we were greeted with such warmth and were made to feel very welcome. We stayed for 2 nights and the level of friendliness remained sincere.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was up there with the best ones.....they even got some black pudding in for my husband.

Porch House will be our accommodation of choice from now on.

Room Tip: All rooms are perfectly clean an comfortable but if you are a light sleeper you should request a roo...

Good welcome. Great rooms. Very clean with strong hot shower. I'm doing the Coast 2 Coast and this was my 11th night on the trail. It was the best nights sleep to date - great beds :). It's a little off the track - a £10 taxi ride but very comfortable. If they did complementary pick ups from Danby Whisk they'd be full every night ! Breakfast was very good. Top ingredients all cooked well.
