We were on a road diversion last week and happened across this lovely pub by accident. What a find! Lovely beer garden with the sun shining and lambs in the field. Food was plentiful and tasty. We didn't want to leave! We will be back for sure.

I came across this pub last weekend on a trip to Richmond. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the burger and chips. Wonderful burger, homemade chips served in a little bucket, and very fresh tomatoes and cucumber, not to mention the wonderfully light onion rings!! All this washed down with a pint of Black Sheep, what more could you ask for? Excellent service too. Will definitely return on next visit to the area. The pub is set in a lovely picturesque village.

Highly recommend this place, excellent food, not the usual pub grub and the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Owners and staff are really friendly, will definitely stay there again.

This was our second visit to The Bolton Arms and we are still very impressed. We again stopped in one of the two bedrooms, very clean and comfortable with good tea and coffee making facilities. The toilet and seperate bathroom are shared with the other bedroom but please don't let this put you off in this day of the 'en-suite' because this a little gem of a place tucked away in the delightful Dales. The pub is cosy with the comfort of a roaring fire and varied menu. The food is delicious and the number of people that turn up to this relatively remote location is testimony to what awaits, good food, good wine and good company. Not only that the full English breakfast is the best I've had in years, all topped off with a friendly chat with Steve before we wended our satisfied way home. We will be back.

Called on Saturday night after initially getting lost on one of the back roads (note:make sure you know your route).
Had booked a table and it was just as well because they were busy. Both ordered fillet steak with bacon/shallot sauce but as there was only one fillet left my long suffering husband had a ribeye instead, We were not disappointed as both were cooked exactly as we ordered and tasted beautiful. It was noted prior to ordering that they announced proudly on the blackboard menu that their meat was sourced locally and it was fully justified. Well worth a visit.
