Have had both lunch and dinner here this week. Both times the food has been of a good standard (though the hot pizza was more of an endurance test and didn't taste of much other than chilli which was disappointing as it promised to be great!). Cocktails were lovely and the house wine is ideal for with a plate of pasta. Atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are really helpful. The only down side is the bar - when you have to wait for a table there is very limited space and the staff are making drinks for tables so it means it can take AGES to get served. At peak times it would be good to have someone making drinks just for customers waiting for tables at the bar so they don't get forgotten. Nothing earth shatteringly unique or different here but a good standard and all in all a good lunch / dinner venue.

This is living off the brand Oliver. However, the place has serious problems with the acoustics. The table we where seated at was fine however, the sheer background noise made it impossible to hold any form of conversation, without the need of shouting to my fellow diners.

The whole experience was spoiled by the inability to have a nice meal with friends and catch up. I would advise people to take pens and paper so they can converse to others without the need to shout to make a point.

The food was average, the service was a little slow but to be fair it was a very busy Saturday evening. However, four very disappointed diners overall.

But please try and doing something about the acoustics in the place

First time here and very impressed. I am not a huge Jamie fan but he has created a great concept here. Fresh, simple food made well. Service very friendly and some serious consideration on decor and style. Recommend - great for kids.

Just got back from celebrating my birthday with my whole family. We were squashed into a small space, then waited ages to be served.
Once served, we were shocked at how average the food was. Mt daughter ordered a salad that was supposed to have mozzarella cheese, asparagus, tomato. It was ALL tomato with a sniff of mozzarella and ONE asparagus spear. Starters were just a joke. The pizzas were nothing more than OK. Then to cap it all the waitress started to clear the table whilst we were still eating!
I was a huge fan of Jamie Oliver, this is just a rip off. DON'T GO

I've been a couple of times now but Jamie's Italian Trattoria has rapidly become my new 'Go to' place in Richmond. It's a lively, noisy, fun restaurant where the idea is to sit close to each other, share your plates and just have a bloody good time!

If you're looking for the sleek fine dining of The Bingham or The Petersham you're in the wrong place. This is somewhere you get amongst it!

We had a great selection of antipasti from the Parmesan and aged balsamic to the 'Plank' of cured meats and the "World's Best Olives"! All of it was lovely.

Mains were again delicious. We had a couple of the pasta dishes (Tagliatelle Bolognese and Prawn Linguine), the special Risotto and a Steak. Thumbs up all round!

Service was first rate and felt really well looked after.

Not going to be long before I go again!
