“Bay views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2012

We stayed here on our penultimate night of the C2C, which was quite frustrating for us but the accommodation was lovely so we got over it! Our room was at the back of the property, with just one window with a view of the bay where we closed the blinds! We shouldn't be seeing the bay until the following day at the end of our walk! If you are looking for a view, then the top floor has a great one of the bay :o]
The rooms were clean, warm, comfortable and Kevin had carried our bags up for us. Breakfast was great, some different options from the normal full english which was very welcome after 2 weeks of staying in B&Bs and hotels.
Kevin agreed to keep hold of our bags on the last day and we collected them in the afternoon after we had finished, which was very helpful.

Room Tip: The top floor has a great view of the bay

Stayed here as a 14 year old kid with my parents when Debbie was managing the property by herself. There has been a lot of changes since then and now as a grown up (well, sorta!) I headed to Robin Hoods Bay with my fiancee for a three night stay. Kevin and Debbie are just so welcoming to every single guest that passes through the door and really can't do enough for you in order to make your stay a pleasant one. Even though I knew Robin Hoods Bay from my stays there as a child Kevin was still happy to suggest restaurants and eateries that had sprung up since I last visited. The room was spotless and had a great view across the bay with really lovely decorations and a very comfy bed. It was especially great for my partner, Kate who is from New Zealand, had never experienced an englisdh bed and breakfast before and what a place to show her as her first taste! Just superb. Breakfast was delicious and certainly set you up for a day of exploring the beautiful area.
A big thanks to Kevin and Debbie for welcoming me back after all these years, was great to see you guys and see the fantastic progress of the entire house.

We stayed at Streonshalh for the first half of a week's holiday in the North York Moors, and were joined by two friends. Kevin was a great host with a wonderful sense of humour, and very helpful and accommodating. I have a peanut allergy and there were no problems with that. The breakfasts were excellent - I had something different every morning to make sure I tried as much as possible - and it was so nice to be provided with a freshly-baked snack to take with us for the day. Our room and bathroom were spotless, tasteful and very comfortable. The only downside was that it made the B&B we chose for the second half of our holiday pale by comparison - in any other circumstances we would have thought it very nice, but it couldn't compete with Streonshalh!

Room Tip: The super King-size beds are fantastic.

Kevin was very welcoming and had even carried our cases up to the top floor.
The room was well-equipped, quiet, and had sweets, bottled water and even a tiny fridge!
Breakfast - full English - was the best of our 2-week trip, which was especially welcome as Kevin agreed to make it early to fit in with our travel arrangements.
Great service and a great B&B.
If only I knew how to pronounce it!

Last day of our Coast to Coast - the welcome could not have been friendlier. Great suggestion by host for seafood dinner (Smugglers) in Robin Hood's Bay - were not disappointed. Comfortable room - small but everything we needed including tea/coffee and a fabulous shower. Breakfast was delicious - real care has been taken over this establishment - a credit to the obvious hard work by the owners. Will definitely stay again on our next trip.

My family and I stayed here as part of my 50th birthday celebration and we all loved it...we had been looking for somewhere in a good location and this was ideal...my wife and I had not been to Robin Hoods bay since childhood and were both interested to see if we would be impressed with the area & we were not disappointed.. There are some great walks to be done (if you are up to the challenge!) and the views on a clear day are brilliant.
The guest house itself was spotless and the hosts - Kevin and Debs were very welcoming without being fussy-which is personally what we prefer.
You can see that they have put all their efforts into the place & they are both fully committed to making sure you enjoy your stay as nothing is a problem to them, the Breakfast was amazing & plenty of it with the bacon and sausages locally sourced & as a result you could certainly taste the difference.
we loved our rooms which were extremely comfortable & all had en-suite and tea, coffee, cookies and mini fridges - they even included a cork screw so you could bring your own wine to enjoy.
We would not hesitate returning again.

stayed here last year in august and we were so impressed that we booked again for this year, we stayed for 3 nights 23rd aug to 26th aug and yet again a fabulous stay, the breakfast and the home baking were second to none.
Kevin and Debs are the perfect hosts.
