What a relief to find a friendly, comfortable, welcoming B&B in a perfect, quaint coastal village in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire! My 10-year old daughter and I escaped during half-term for a midweek break to Robin Hood's Bay. Our days were spent walking the coastal pathways and the beaches and taking in the glorious views. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival at Streonshalh, after easily parking on the street with no restrictions. The twin room was large, clean, fully equipped with everything we could need, including bottled water which was such a thoughtful touch. The free broadband was a great perk; not many establishments offer this option. The beds were very comfy. Kevin spent time chatting with us, making us feel welcome, and discussing all the breakfast options with us. He ensured my daughter was fully included in the the discussions and that she had exactly what she wanted for breakfast each morning. The breakfasts were incredible - fresh, healthy, locally sourced. The fruit bowl itself was fantastic, filled with lovely soft fruits, ripe and flavourful - a wonderful feat in February. We ordered packed lunches one day, which were excellent quality and value for money. Kevin and Debbie were excellent hosts, and Streonshalh would be our only choice on return to Robin Hood's Bay.

This was our second stay at Streonshalh which speaks for itself.
Rooms: Stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable beds
Breakfast: Delicious. Start with an amazing fresh fruit salad then a superbly cooked breakfast using quality local produce (cereals/toast etc as well!)
Location: Excellent- very near the sea at the top of the old village. Safe on street parking.
Hosts: Kevin and Debbie are a good team- friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive.
Rating: One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Thank you both. We will return!

Myself and my partner stayed at the streonshalh a couple of weeks ago, on arrival we were greeted my Kevin and Debbie who couldnt do enough for us, they made us very welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay possible. The rooms were extremely clean and decorated beautifully. Kevin had promised us a fantastic breakfast in the morning and they didnt dissappoint, we were given a fresh fruit salad to start, followed by a wide choice of cereal and then a beautiful fresh cooked breakfast. We had such a nice stay friday night we decided to stop an extra night and stay on the saturday aswell. Would definately recommend and will definately be making another trip ourselves.

I have stayed at the Streonshalh several times now and love it. I went with my husband for the first time in April 06 and then recommended it to my brother and several friends who all have had a great stay. Debbie and Kevin are great, really friendly and helpful. The rooms are always well kept and very clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable too .We have been many times now and always receive a fantastic reception. Nothing is too much trouble for Debbie and Kevin, the location is great too at the top of the bay but within a short walk of all the amenities. And the breakfasts are huge! Gorgeous sizzling sausages, fruit to start and a good veggie breakfast too. We have been in the position to see the business develop over the last few years but Kevin and Debbie have not lost that personal touch. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

This is the second time I have stayed with Kevin and Debbie at Streonshalh Bed and Breakfast and as in the first stay, it was great! Kevin as always was very welcoming on arrival, showing us to our room and having a good chat. We were offered a choice of breakfast times and also how we liked our breakfasts cooking! The room has everything you need, a very generous hospitality tray including bottled spring water and biscuits (plus the usual coffee and choice of teas!) Bathroom is provided with soap and shower gel.
The breakfast is super! Fresh fruit salad to begin, then a choice of cereals and then the full English, with plenty of toast and coffee. It filled us up so much we didn't eat again until tea!
You can come and go as you please (provided with your own key) and there is plenty of safe parking on the quiet road. An ideal location, and only a few minutes walk away from the pubs and restaurants in the upper and lower village. Kevin and Debbie were as always, perfect hosts!
Robin Hood's Bay is a lovely place. Try it for yourself and try this B and B. Think you will have a good time!
I'm going back for a third time very soon and will look forward to my stay!

Stayed here for one night during a short stay in Robin Hood's Bay. The price was very reasonable - £50 for a night's stay, including breakfast. The proprietor of thte B&B was so warm and friendly, very chatty, helpful and full of information. The room was clean and modern, and the B&B is located just a few minutes walk from the village. The breakfast was great, fruit, cereal and a full English - delicious! Will definitely be back!
