Stayed for one night.
Room was great, shower nice and big, and bed very comfortable - great pillows!
Lovely couple run the place, we had ithe restaurant to ourselves the night we stayed, and the food was yummy, had to have all 3 courses! Great ambience in the restaurant, they have put alot of effort into the whole business. Great choice for breakfast too.

Wow, The food at the bistro was delicious, we had the mussels, oh my good to die for! we stayed in one of the top rooms think it was room 5, although small it had all you would expect to find in a good guest house and decorated to a high standard, the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and warm with two radiators (with knob to control temp) The shower was great! we will be staying again.

Stayed at the Wayfarer for 2 nights, very friendly couple who welcomed us, the room was on the second floor and was very clean and the en suite was excellent. We also had a evening meal in the bistro, the food was lovely with excellent service and plenty on your plate. We will stay again hopefully in the future.

We stayed just the one night, but what a great place! A really lovely b&b combined with probably the best bistro we have ever used. Having previously stayed the previous couple of days at an OK-ish b&b in nearby Whitby, the Wayfarer was a revelation. We were able, with some helpful directions from Lucy, to park at one of their designated 2 spaces in a private car park just up the street. Our room was clean light and airy and had a lovely lounge area, with 2-piece suite and flat screen TV, the nearest thing to a suite we have had in any b&b.
Having read some excellent reviews about the Wayfarer's bistro we decided to book that evening, and we were not disappointed. Lucy cooked and Chris was a welcoming and attentive Front of House. The tables were nearly all taken and there was a cosy atmosphere. We started with a shared plate of scallops, quite delectable. We then had 2 superb main courses (a large and beautifully cooked sea bass and tender lamb cutlets) and were so full we could only share a creme brulee to finish. Great value all round. The breakfast next morning was a beautifully cooked full English. We would recommend the Wayfarer very highly indeed.

Five walking friends finished part of the Cleveland Way long distance path at Robin Hoods Bay in May 2008. This Bistro, which has accommodation also, provided us all with delicious meals, served very well in a lovely celebratory atmosphere. The Bistro is comfortable, tasteful and classy. Prices around mid range and well worth it - recommended with confidence.

The room was clean and airy and decorated to a good standard with a deluxe shower making this the best B&B we have stayed in. The food served in the bistro was so good we decided to eat there both nights.

We're happy to recommend the Wayfarer Bistro to anyone
