Ate here recently whilst staying in Robin Hoods Bay and I have to say that the quality is as good as in previous years. I had the Gammon Steak which was char gilled to perfection. The rest of our party were also very happy with their choice of meals too. Good quality beers in the bar and a nice family area

Have stayed in Robin Hoods Bay may times over the last 15 years, cottages, B&B's, and the Victoria Hotel 6 times, The hotel changed ownership two years ago and certainly for the better, whilst it was okay, the current owners Andy and Gail have improved certain aspects of the hotel,
Namely the rooms have been updated to a high standard while still keeping the charm of the hotel by individually furnishing the rooms ( our last room had a four poster with french style antique furniture)
The food is good, and can recommend the local cod and chips, regular size is plenty and large not for the faint hearted. The breakfast is excellent, plenty of choice which includes fresh fruit as opposed to tinned only, Being a Yorkshire lad I like a good traditional breakfast and the Victoria's is one of the best.
The bar has a good selection of real ales at reasonable prices, there is also a family room where dogs are allowed in.
Whilst the hotel is large it does not lack the personal touch, this is in no small measure due to the owners and staffs friendliness, I cannot commend the staff highly enough, always helpful and cheerful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
If you have never been to Robin Hoods Bay it is the jewel of the North Yorkshire coast, the views are breathtaking and walks to Ravenscar and Whitby well worth the effort.
Whilst stopping in one of the quaint cottages is charming, a stay at the Victoria Hotel is a must.
After six visits to the Victoria it will certainly not be the last, I recommend it to all age groups

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are brilliant of course, but the views from the front of the hotel to the moors a...

My wife and I stayed here after finishing the C2C. The room was nice, but a bit tight space-wise. We dined twice in the restaurant and had a good experience there. Staff was pleasant and the view cannot be beat out over the bay. Note that this is located "up high" in town and not down near the water.

We stayed a night in this hotel, which can only be described as 'the find of the year'. From the moment you walk into the reception, you feel awe struck at the fantastic decor. The experience only gets better. The rooms are excellent, we had a sea view double, and we woke up in the morning and whilst lying in bed could see the sea and cliffs.
The food is absolutely lovely, we ate in the restaurant, the service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, throughout the stay not just in the restaurant. The breakfast was again excellent, and the cooked breakfast was huge(no need for lunch).
We will definitely be visiting the Victoria again, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view as this just adds to a memorable experience.

We have just got home following our Wedding on Saturday 19th October at the Victoria.
The building is stunning with its commanding position overlooking Robin hoods Bay. The accommodation in the Hotel was first rate, the day/whole stay was personally all we wished for on our Wedding Day and for all of our guests.
Andrew & all of the staff did everything possible to make us feel special, they worked very hard to understand all of our specific requirements and tailored the Day, the Hotel & the Menu to our exact requirements. The whole event went off without a hitch and Andrew made a very competent & amiable Master of Ceremonies as well as Firework master.
The food & Service throughout the weekend from Breakfasts to Wedding supper to meals in the Sea view Restaurant were all excellent.
We will be returning to the Hotel as guests in the future, not only to remember our Special Day but just to have the pleasure of stopping in a very nice Hotel in a very nice location.
Thank you Victoria Hotel from the new Mr & Mrs Tonks x

My wife and I recently got married at the Victoria Hotel; what a great day that went perfectly, thanks to the planning and attention to detail by all the staff and in particular Andrew. The stunning views over the Bay made this a day to remember, not only for us as a couple but all our guests who were visiting stunning Robin Hoods Bay for the first time. The accommodation is 5 star, each room with its own individuality, all spotless and charming with lovely views over the Bay. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and finished to a very high standard, yet retaining its Victorian feel. The ceremony went perfectly, with the BBQ and evening do adding to a great day. This was all in no small part to the staff, who were magnificent. The Breakfast was also fantastic, with the staff going beyond the call of duty at times to ensure everyone had a great time. Highly recommended. Cant wait to visit again, not sure we can wait until our anniversary!
