I have just returned from a camping trip to Hooks House farm with my wife and our Chihuahua..
It was our second camping holiday but our first without our kids. We had originally planned to stay 2 nights however because of the nice campsite and weather we stayed an extra night. There is no onsite bar or entertainment at the campsite, which is fine, we didn't want that. Just want to point out in case anyone is looking for that.
The key facts for this campsite are as follows, quick and friendly check in. Facilities are super clean which makes a huge difference. Showers and toilets clean very often, there is a kitchen with washing up areas, fridge freezer, microwave and kettle included in your booking fee.
If I had to pick a downside which there wasn't any really was the fact its on a slop and can get quite windy but that is just me being over critical.
Nice walk down to the village of Flyingdale, and Robin Hood bay to get access to pubs, cafes, restaurants. (very steep hill to get down to robinhoods bay)
I can recommend taking a 10 minute drive to Foss Falls and visit the tea rooms their, a hidden gem.
All in All, we really enjoyed our stay at the campsite and I would recommend it to others and will visit again.
:)

I visited Hooks House Farm in late July , as I turned into the farm I was met by stunning views over Robin Hood bay. Reception was quick , easy and pleasant. Unlike other sites there are very few NO rules which made life there simple and easy going. The camping site isn't flat, it declines towards the bay but not uncomfortably so. Getting down to the bay couldn't have been easier, walk down to the bottom of the field though a gate/style down the field and the bay is less than a five minute walk away. The site amenities are clean and well ordered. I would recommend this place.

Just had two nights here, delightful experience. Excellent, immaculate site, a credit to the resident owners who were very pleasant and helpful. Site has all the facilities you need for basic camping. Wonderful sea and country views. Walking distance to Robin Hoods Bay. We will most definitely be back!

Stayed here for 4 nights. The views are amazing. The site is very clean and the owners carnt help enough. We walked to Whitby 7 miles on the Cleveland way it's was lovely. There is a cinder track it's ok for bikes but no views, so I will always go Cleveland way.

Location, Location, Location. The views of Robin Hood's Bay and surrounding area are simply breathtaking in any weather. We bring our tourer caravan and visit as often as we possibly can. Ideally situated for walking and visits to Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby.

Reception. We have always received a very warm welcome. This is a family owned and run camp site on a working farm, mainly managed by Jill and husband Gordon and their son Paul and his partner Jo. They are very sociable and will go that extra mile to assist campers if need be.

Facilities. The showers and toilet blocks (separate mens and women) are very clean and the water is always nice and hot. The site is on a sloping field - there are blocks to help level camper vans and tourers. The tents always seem to find a level space to pitch. This is a peaceful and orderly site and groups are not permitted.

Price for July.
£9.00 pppn & £3.00 pn electric hook up.
