“Great hospitality and value for money”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

I stayed at the Flask Inn for the second time on a 3 night deal before Easter and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. 3 night deal great value for money, the Harvester room was very nice with a large modern bathroom including bath and large shower. Accommodation very clean and tidy. Breakfast had a good choice and enjoyed a nice evening meal there, would definitely return again.

We stayed here on a cold Valentines night. After a friendly welcome we were shown to our room - clean, comfortable and really well decorated. After settling in we went down to the bar for dinner. I ordered the chicken pate which came with red onion and garlic bread - delicious - whilst my wife went for the crayfish tails and smoked salmon in Marie Rose sauce - again delicious. We both went for the steak and ale pie - succulent pieces of steak in an onion gravy - perfect food for a cold night and very filling. Sadly we couldn't fit any desserts in, although they all sounded very tempting.
After a comfortable nights sleep, we came down to the delicious breakfast - my wife went for the eggs florentine "perfect" whilst I ordered the full english - cooked to perfection.
We would thoroughly recommend the Flask if you want a base to stay whilst exploring the Yorkshire coast.

I can't believe how wonderful this inn is. The food is amazing and reasonably priced and the service is second to none in a world where the customer rarely seems to be right nowadays!
Myself, my husband and our young daughter visited in August and we couldn't have been more pleased, we plan to visit again next year when we are in Yorkshire. Well done to the owner and staff, you made us very happy.

found this place by chance and rather expected an ordinary pub for an overnight stay. Pleased to discover that the room we had was recently refurbished to a very high standard, and the choice and quality of the restaurant was outstanding. Genuine chef cooking, and no microwave rubbish. Original dishes with several unusual and creative items. Reasonably priced too. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Room as the back could be quieter but we had no problems at all in our room at the side.

Arrived for a one night stay, booked two rooms in advance. The rooms were excellent, very clean with everything you need. The bar was welcoming and the food excellent. Could not fault it. Not expensive either.
