“Great Cottage - Suited our needs”

Really happy with this cottage which is one of the nicest we have stayed in at Robin Hoods Bay, after nearly 20 years of visits. Very comfortable. Plenty of space for me, my wife and 14yr old son. Generally well-equipped (couldn't find a teapot - but otherwise there was everything we needed). Well located at the bottom of the village near the sea. Easy to access for loading/unloading from the car - not always so in this village. Would probably book again and would certainly recommend to a small family group like ours.

Liked best: Lovely cottage in most attractive part of village
Liked least: Nothing - but some travellers might have difficulty with steep/narrow stairs

“Excellent characterful cottage in a fine location”

This is a lovely cottage on four levels, be warned, the stairs are steep, and access to the top floor is not for the physically challenged. Also the kitchen beams are low. There is everything you could possibly need on the premises, it's more like moving into a family house exchange than an austere rental. Could hardly be better if you want to live somewhere "real". Clean, warm and welcoming.

Management Response

Thank you for your review and we are glad you found yourself "at home"!.

For Robin Hoods Bay the layout of Burton House is actually quite generous but the odd low beam or two is a constant source of entertainment and also maybe the reason why Fishermen of old stooped so much :-D
