I've stayed here on previous occasions and always felt welcomed by both owners and staff. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are nice, its lovely and warm with log fires and the food is great. Paul (owner) even changed my tyre in freezing snowy conditions when I had a puncture and then directed me to the nearest garage. Hows that for service!

We only had a hot chocolate and a cappuccino but these were delicious. You can tell they like to look after their guests because they give you a home baked cookie with your drink, not one of these small, individually wrapped biscuits that often you get elsewhere. Presentation of the drinks is nice too: a sheep made from chocolate powder on top of the cappuccino.
Service is exceptionally friendly.
All in all, a great place to have a hot drink.
We didn't have time for a meal but we'll try that next time. We're convinced that will be good also.

The Kearton is a hotel with terrific bedrooms furnished to a high standard and reasonable priced. The location is in an idyllic spot in a very sheltered location and is perfect for touring the area by car or for hiking the many trails, both gentle and not so gentle, depending on your fitness level. There is Tea Room that is part of the hotel, it caterers to residents and passing travelers whether on foot, bicycle or car, and of course it sells the "trinkets" we all buy when travelling. The dining room is very well appointed and spacious, with tables well separated from each other no squeezing into your chair. Breakfast has one seating 8.30am and of course it offers all one has come to expect, buffet with juice and cereal etc. and a cooked breakfast to match any Full Yorkshire. Dinner again has one seating, 6.30pm cocktails and place your dinner order and seating at 7.00pm. The menu is not extensive but covers all the bases and the food is superb, well cooked, presented and very well served, all with a pleasant view to the hills at the rear of the hotel, unless of course darkness has fallen. In the morning whilst enjoying your breakfast one can watch the very many birds on the feeders hanging from the trees to the rear. Parking is onsite, free and very private and conveniently located immediately behind the hotel, great rooms, excellent food and friendly staff.

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear have views to the hills in the disatnce.
