We have just returned from a long weekend at Hazel Brow celebrating my friends hen do. It is the perfect house for a large group get together. All of the bedrooms are stunning so no fighting over who sleeps where, there's a large living room with plenty of comfy seats and a stunning dining room with beautiful views to seat everyone. We had a hot tub, food cooked and served to us by Fairhursts (which was fantastic) and amazing spa treatments by My Personal Sanctuary who set up their treatment beds in the 2 large bedrooms. There is a walk which we did at the bottom of the gardens along the river awake which is truly stunning. So we didn't leave the house all weekend. Everyone loved it. It was absolutely perfect and Catherine the owner can't do enough for you. Want to do it all again !

Hazel Brow was booked as a once in a lifetime 'luxury' to mark my 50th year and to say thank you to close friends.I thought it looked fantastic from the website but it surpassed all expectations and was even better in real life. The house and garden provided a perfect spot to savour spectacular views of Swaledale. Just beautiful!
Although an incredibly grand house,we found it homely and comfortable and very easy to relax in. A large part of this was due to the lovely Cath who had been so accommodating to my particular requests throughout the booking stages, and who then welcomed us warmly and set the restful tone for the week's stay. Everything we needed was provided and everyone who visited commented on how fabulous it was.
A truly special place to share with others and to enjoy Yorkshire at its finest. Hopefully I will get to return one day. In the meantime, I will cherish the memories of a great week. Thanks Cath.

p.s. Being dog friendly was a huge bonus and, it seems, a lovely change !!

We were a group of friends from way back when at university who got together to spend time hiking, cycling, cooking, chatting and playing games in the lovely sitting room. We found everything we needed for preparing meals for nine of us. The bedrooms were all super comfortable and basically we had a wonderful time together. The owner, Catherine, was so helpful and a joy to work with for the organisation. Highly recommended.

We have just spent the most delightful week in Swaledale staying in Hazel Brow House. We were due to be joined by friends from the USA but due to an unfortunate medical emergency they could not travel. In order to try and share with them our experiences we have sent numerous pictures of our fantastic stay. However the pictures and these words will never do Hazel Brow House justice but we will still try.

Hazel Brow House is a delightful place to stay, big rooms, excellent showers and bathrooms plenty of hot water and heating on demand. The beds were all reported as been comfortable and it is so quiet and dark at night you cannot fail but to sleep well.

There is a large dining room with plenty of seating we managed dinner for 12 and what a memorable occasion that was.

The views from the house and garden are spectacular showing off Swaledale at its best.

Catherine is a wonderful host and nothing was a problem.

We have loved our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Hazel Brow House to others so much so we have booked for 2017.

A large warm and comfortable house ideally suited to exploring Swaledale and enjoying the local walks. We were a party of 4 and had 8 guests for an evening meal and stay over and coped wonderfully. Everything we wanted was there. A special welcoming pack was much appreciated. Owner availability and extremely helpful throughout the week.

We stayed here in April 2016 as a large family group. The house is in a beautiful location with and it was especially great being here in lambing season for the children.
The house is really warm and comfortable with lovely decoration and has a large amount of rooms so everyone was really well accommodated.
The owners were very welcoming and helpful and I would high recommend this as an excellent place to rent for larger groups who like a bit of comfort
